Positive Reviews:

Small, light and perfect for travel

I was looking for a small wallet for my trip to Costa Rica as I was only planning on bringing an ATM card, license and 1 credit card. I have and like Eagle Creek travel bags so I trust the brand.

The wallet folds up almost credit card dimensions and has a strong velcro that keeps it slim with everything sealed tightly inside. The coin holder was just right for a handful of coins and the billfold section is wide enough to accommodate those wider foreign bills. It's great for traveling in those densely crowded urban areas because it hides right into your clothes, away from the eyes of pickpockets.

I saw some complaints about quality but all the stitching and materials looked just fine to me. Using any thicker materials would make the wallet bulky and heavy. I threw the wallet around in dust, dirt, sand, beer, rain, puddles and just brushed it off to get it back to its clean and tidy look. But this is a travel wallet for me. Since I don't plan to use it everyday, it won't get that daily wear and tear but I can see myself using this for many more trips to come.

Lastly, I did a lot of searching online for competitive products and this wallet is by far the best looking one I saw. Its discreet muted, two-toned design is quintessential Eagle Creek. I'm super happy with this purchase.

Compact, well-designed, durable

Ladies: tired of being weighed down like a pack mule with a purse full of stuff?Gentlemen: tired of saying "actually that's my wallet in my pocket, but yes, I AM glad to see you?"This wallet is a winner. you can fit a surprising number of credit cards and a goodly amount of bills in there - which looks great even if most of the cards are maxed and most of the bills are ones. At the same time, it fits neatly into a very small Burning Man style waist satchel and would doubtlessly do just great in a guy's pocket as well. Plus, if like me you tend to wear things hard, no problem. I've had mine a year and it still looks like new.

Trendy, durable and gets the job done.

The wallet has more compartments than I actually need; however, this is a good thing. Also, when I purchased it I did not know that the wallet is kept closed via a velcro lining. I have gotten use to the excruciating sound that the velcro makes when I open it. The color is awesone and loud. I have lost it a few times; however, I was able to retrieve it in part due to the loud color which seemed to have called out to me. I have also received compliments regarding the color, which people have commented as being "trendy". The material is durable and well crafted. This is definitely a wallet for those who enjoy outdoor recreation. - Jesse

slim design for travelling

Bought this wallet for travelling because I wanted one small and slim enough to fit in a pocket and not be too noticible or easy to steal. This one fits the bill. I like the zip pocket for coins, and this is a bit expandible. However, you don't want too many coins as this would hinder the ability of an easy tri-fold and add to bulkiness (curse the Aussie 20 and 50cent coins!). Super secure velcro closure. Slots fit all my licenses, credit cards and such.

My previous one lasted 6 years

Much better than any leather wallet I have ever owned.

Negative Reviews:

Size of product is deceptive

Am unhappy with this purchase. The wallet is smaller than I expected it to be. This is too small to accommodate bigger bills.
I currently use an Eagle Creek wallet bought some years back. I wanted to replace it. But much to my surprise, what I received is smaller than what I currently have. So, I am disappointed that I cannot use this new wallet.

Disappointed

I was hoping this wallet was similar to an older Easgle Creek model that I have and LOVE. I don't know why companies don't keep a good design. The only complaint I have about the old one is the dark color. I wanted something easy to see inside a big black purse. I'd return this one but it's too much trouble.

I'd never buy this product again

I bought a wallet of the same name and design about 15 years ago. I loved the design and it served me well. This wallet is in worse shape than the 15 year old wallet after less than a year of use.

Solid wallet, but a bit pricey.

I bought this wallet about 1 year ago and have used everyday since. The wallet is made of a coarse nylon that is black on the wallet exterior, and deep blue on the interior. The interior of the wallet also features a different weaving pattern consisting of approximately 5 mm squares.

There are three main storage spaces in the wallet: a drivers license slot with a translucent plastic cover, several slots for credit cards, and a large bill compartment.

I am partial to slim-type bi-fold wallets, so that is what attracted me to this particular item. Now that I've used it for over a year I can say that the wallet works well for everyday use. I like that the wallet is relatively slim, but my major complaint is that the wallet is very stiff...though I realize that that maybe due largely to the credit cards in my pocket.

All in all, a decent sturdy wallet with room for some bills and a few cards.

Not bad

I bought this wallet to replace a similar one that came up missing (stolen?). It looks similar though is obviously smaller than what I had. No sleeves for photos in this wallet and it carries fewer cards than I was used to, but after getting new cards - what a hassle - I found I really didn't need to carry all that I had been carrying. The new slim wallet fits well in my back pocket and is not a huge, lumpy pain while driving long distances. I'm therefore happy with the item.

Almost what I wanted

Disappointed in product: did not have 3 credit card holders in the middle, nor did it have a hidden zipper money pocket inside. This is another attempt to improve where the old Eagle Tri Fold had better features. It got thrown in the sock drawer.

It was too small.

Nice quality but smaller than I expected.
