Good for keeping things secure obviously. Haven't used it yet, but will soon. The cable seems a bit short so I don't know if it will go all the way around my full backpack but we'll see.
This will decrease the chances that my pack will get stolen!!

It may be user error or this lock just might suck.
I'm not an idiot. I read the directions and followed them to a "t" and was unable to set the lock properly. After 30 minutes of this I may have had a temper tantrum and thrown the lock around and somehow set it to an unknown number, making it useless to me. I've read other reviews by people who had the same problem so I'm still not convinced it was total user error. Also, any monkey with a wirecutter could cut through the cable. Its very thin and fairly useless. You're better off getting a bike lock!
hard to set combination
one problem i had with it was setting the combination. the the #s would change as i set the combination, so i had a hard time actually knowing with it was set too. it took me the entire day to figure out my combination. but after some time, it go easier as i got experience
Could Not Set Combination on lock bought
When I brought the lock home, I followed the Set Combination instructions, but could not get it to work. Then tried to go back to the factory preset (0-0-0), but it wouldn't work either. This lock is now useless.
