Neat little tent

Tried this initially over a 3 day trip end of August ,late winter in New Zealand.Hunting Sika ,conditions where misty showers with wind off snow from SE . With rain trying to turn to snow for the 3 days.
This little Bivy tent was brilliant ,OK not really big enough for 2 people but was great for me & my Lab.
With that lazy wind all weekend was lovely to crawl into it mid day,out of the wind & when the sun came out the roof worked like a sun trap. The difference in temp from out side was incredible, nice place to be after a morning hunt in those conditions. The dog loved it too ,didn't take long till he was snoring.
Only negative ,it could benefit form zip closures over the vents for extreme weather. I had some of that the wind brought down a large beech tree that effectively closed the access road, trunk snapped 30' up .

Good deal.

Nice for overnight touring of state parks, which is what I bought it for. Small footprint, which came in handy when I rolled up to a campsite 90% flooded with 1-4" of water -- set up the bivy at the base of a tree and had a nice, dry night. No leaks, no problems -- except trying to get a fire started.
Perfect size for me and my stuff; I'm 5'5'' with a hiking pack, small cooler and my inflatable sleeping mat. More than enough room for sleeping, but I don't move around a lot at night. I just got gifted the small Cabela's Digi-Camo cot for Christmas and it should just fit inside too.
Rolled up in its duffel, the tent fits nicely under my bed. Dries out fast after a rain, and takes waterproofing spray well.
Worth the price for a habitual weekend camper.
