The included stuff sack allows the pillow to compress to less than 25% of its full size while keeping it clean and safe.
The ProPillow's compact size and comfort leaves no reason not to throw one in your pack, trunk, or carry-on.
I had been trying to find a pillow I could use to camp with in summer (In winter I just use my down jacket). I tried some of the inflatable pillows out at REI and just didn't find them worth the money. They were like trying to sleep on a balloon. I ended up giving the ENO Propillow a shot and it has been pretty good. The first time I pulled it out it was a little lumpy but it seemed to even out. It was also a little bit bigger than I was expecting/ hoping because my goal was to find one I could take backpacking.
I have taken it on a few backpacking trips and it has worked out fine. I have just been strapping it to the side compression straps of my pack and hitting the trail. It doesn't seem to add too much bulk to my pack. Normally I hate putting things on the outside of my pack but this has been one of the few exceptions- way too big to put in the pack. In fact, it is almost the same size as my compressed 35 degree sleeping bag. If you're not into the whole ultralight thing and want some extra comfort... backpacking this pillow is totally doable. I'm sure it would be great for airplanes and other trips too. Four stars because I wish it compressed a tad bit smaller.
