I purchased the jacket to go under my shell for a 2 day snow show trip in New Hampshite. On day one, we hiked up over 2,000 feet and the weather was about 30 degrees. The jacket is all I wore over my base. I was carrying a 30 lb backpack and I didn't experience any rubbing. I also was able to use the pit zips as I started to heat up from the climb. Looking forward to using it more this winter.

Good alternative

I owned a North Face shell. I did not have a layering piece that zipped into the jacket. A sales clerk suggested I try this jacket. It was the perfect weight, it was able to zip in to my shell plus it was on sale. The only downside is that the sleeves do not attach to sleeve on the shell, so I need to adjust them each time I put it one.

Excellent lightweight softshell jacket

I really like the fit and styling of this jacket. It's lighter in weight than a standard soft shell, but the outer material is softer and more flexible, so I find it very comfortable. I usually wear either a small or x-small in EMS sizes, and the x-small in this jacket fits well; the small was too big.

I love this jacket

I love this jacket. I wanted something like my North Face Denali but slightly different. The inside is warm and fleece lined but the outside is more nylon like. It fits great. I wear a small in North Face and also got a small in EMS. It's more snug as that is the style.

Nice jacket

Glad it was on sale, as it was expensive.

Too pricey

ok jacket if you need the pit zips and the smooth outside to layer, so good for colder/aerobic uses. That said I got in a decent sale and am keeping it. Arms are long.
