I like this jacket

I use this jacket in Portland maine. My jacket is perfectly warm with the right layering, I wear it with an EMS merino wool hoodie underneath. It has already seen me through 16 degree nights. I did walk home in the rain one night and the jacket kept me mostly dry(which is fine because I bought it for winter not rain) The only downside is that the velcro closures next to the zipper have been causing the fabric on the arm to pill, this appears to be mostly cosmetic, I think the velcro is too strong, obviously not a problem when the jacket is zipped up and closed. Only wish it came in more subtle colors.

Very warm coat & truly water/wind proof

Great protection from wind, water and cold weather; comfortable; light weight;

The material of the shell pills easily; New coat starts to pill where rubbing happens;

Could have been made in the longer style so that there is more versatility for its usage. Longer formal coats in the material will be a great addition to the line and would certainly buy one if available!

Overall, the warmest winter coat I've ever owned. Thank God I found it during the worst winters I've seen!!

Light yet warm jacket!

I am really enjoying the look and feel of this jacket, and it's perfect on winter days when it's not below zero or there is any precipitation. It's also perfect for driving in the car, as it's light-weight and not bulky.That same light-weight quality works great for shopping and going indoors.

Love this rain jacket.

Love this jacket. This is the first raincoat I've bought that is lightweight warm and dry. It's looks good too. Perfect for North Carolina's rainy winters.

Awesome jacket!

I use this as an every-day jacket and it is just perfect. It is super warm without being heavy or bulky.

Negative Reviews:

Not as warm as I thought it would be

I thought this jacket would be warmer than it is. After explaining to the sales person at EMS that I am on the very-cold-human end of the spectrum and need as warm a jacket as I can find, but also that I live in San Francisco where it rains a lot, she recommended this jacket. I ordered it online because the store didn't have it. When it arrived, I realized that it's very thin. I thought it would be comparable to down, but it is not. If you don't get as cold as I do, this is probably a very good jacket, but for me, it doesn't meet my needs. And if you get quite cold in the winter, it probably won't meet yours etiher.

Dissapointed with pilling

Love how lightweight and warm this is but not happy that after only 4 days of ski wear have noticed pilling at a few rub spots. Wasn't even aware it was rubbing. (Carrying pack to car ?)Wouldn't want to use this with a pack on as wouldn't last long.
