This is by far the warmest base layer I have ever owned. Purchased my first top at EMS in Lake Placid to ski on a zero degree day and they kept my core toasty. I have skied for 40 years in upstate NY and tried about everything in base layers. For the days sub 20 degrees, the T3 base blows every base layer I have used away. far better then UnderArmor in very cold conditions. Also use it when standing all day in my deer stand on a 10 degree day. added benefit is the long sleeves with the thumb holes to keep your wrists/ hands warmer without being too bulky in the gloves. My wife has them also and when it is below 20 that is all she will wear outside. You will not go wrong with these if you want to keep warm.

Nice Underwear

I ordered this heavyweight long underwear top (I ordered the bottom also) to replace a 20-year old pair of heavy weight EMS "Bergelene" long underwear that I've worn perhaps 400 times. This new underwear has a nicer feel and fit than the older long underwear. I've worn this new top (along with the bottom) snowboarding at Steamboat Springs, Colorado, for a few days when the temperature was well below 0F, and I felt comfortably warm-enough without being hot, and very dry all day. I like this new top (and it's matching bottom) a lot, and I' recommend it.

Love this

I have been a huge supporter of wool products for years and still am but I sweat a lot when I work out and my wool tops don't breath well enough. I bought one of these to ski up Mt Washington last Month. The top worked so well I bought two more. I still sweat but the top doesn't stay damp like my wool tops so it keeps me warm on breaks. love these.

Great insulation

I use the insulation for work (Police Officer), and winter sports and had been using another company's products. No more of that now, I'm sold on this offering from EMS. Warm, soft, and comfortable, I recently wore it on a police detail that approached 0 degrees F, and with one other layer it was perfect. I also used it snowmobiling in NH in below zero temperatures with no issues. A++

Great for Cold Temps

I have two of these, and would not venture out for runs or climbs in cold weather without it. Good fit, good sizing, holds size through wash, and unlike smartwool, etc... can be machine washed.

good base layer

I use it as a base layer when skiing and bow hunting when it is cold or I'm sitting and inactive.

Great product for staying warm

Bought these shirts for my son and for my son-in-law for snowmobiling. They love them! Very pleased.

Negative Reviews:

Sizing not designed for athletic build

I'm 5'9 180lbs and medium usually fits like a glove. I work out, but I'm lean not bulky. I was expecting "Heaveyweight" to feel like and fit like Vector Power Stretch, because EMS didn't have it in black...Man, not even close. If you want something warm, look elsewhere. As for fit, although the neck and chest had a fitted feel, which was exactly what I was looking for the bicep and shoulder area were skin tight. Kind of like a compression fit. I was so disappointed I returned both tops I purchased and brought one Vector Power Stretch in blue. If you are looking at these do yourself a favor and get the Vector Power Stretch instead. It cost a little more, but Vector Power Stretch is superior in warmth and fit all without the bulk.

I'm 6'4" tall and usually wear a large size. Because this is tighter fitting I had to exchange for an XL regular. However, it is 4"/10 cm longer than any other one I have. It also has sleeves that are 4"/10 cm too long. I had hoped that since last winter, the cut-out for the thumb through the cuff, would have been removed. Unfortunately for me, that is not the case. My wife had to alter the ones bought last winter. I will not have her go through that hassle again.

Not a good fit

I own several Techwich shirts and have always been happy with the fit. This one, however, was too tight for comfort in the mid-section, and very much too long in the sleeves. With my thumbs through the thumb-holes, the sleeves were bunched up around the wrist. I wear 32-inch sleeves in a dress shirt. This shirt was returned.
