Eastern Mountain Sports Trailhead Shirt L/S Reviews:

EMS should make more like this

This is EMS's best. I had been looking for a shirt like this for a long time.
It is not exactly as I would like it, but as close as possible. It is hard to find shirts like this.
It is meant for outdoor activity, such as walking or hiking in hot weather. Yet designed so it can be worn in a semi-casual workplace environment and looks appropriate and simply good. I use this shirt to go to my office when the weather is very hot. The shirt is proper and not trashy like a majority of women's clothing is. A pair of dark slacks with this shirt and you are ready to work behind an office desk and look professional.
The shirt is also good for general use. Throw it on when you have to rush out to go to the store or run errands etc. It has pockets like a jacket which means you can use it like a jacket and put it over a t-shirt on days that it is a bit cool and it looks great.

The cons are that there should be a greater variety of colors. I think that only the green color is best. The white is too bright and you look like you should only be working in a hospital. The khaki is like most clothing that is khaki-colored, it looks too much like your skin color. There should be colors such as dark yellow orchre, slate blue, taupe, and heather grey.
Also though the shirt is cut unusually good enough so that it effectively makes up for the fact that it is a bit goo short, the fit could still be a bit better if it were longer by about two inches, better yet three. The sleeves are a tad too long for me but the cuffs are designed to roll up well around the wrists.

If it were possible to make the shirt a bit lighter for sweltering weather, it would be a good idea. Maybe make a short-sleeved version but not so short that the sleeves go over one and half inches above the bend of your elbow.

It is good that there are side "panels" on the back so that there is ventilation when it is too warm outside. Other such shirts have different lesser-quality or mis-matching material sewn to the sides of the shirt. Bad idea.

The material is comfortable-as-possible when you are sweating which is much needed.

This shirt should not be discontinued but improved upon and continued to be sold.

Great Shirt!

I liked the shirt so much that I bought two... the green and the purple. I wore it over a short sleeve shirt hiking and it was perfect. When I got warm I took it off and it easily stashed it in my pack. When I needed to put it back on it wasn't a wrinkled mess. I also wear it to work and (though I didn't buy it for this reason) I got a lot of compliments on it. I don't have anything bad to say about it and in fact I am searching for more like it!

Too tight

I needed a light weight long sleeve shirt for an Amazon River trip. I am a short, overweight 60 yr old. Usually an EMS XL shirt will fit me just fine but this was like putting on a size small. It would have been a fine shirt to wear if I were a tiny little thing. I returned the shirt.

Great shirt

Great shirt. Fantastic and very comfortable material. Great for hiking with vents and small pockets but looks good enough to go to dinner afterwards. Challenge on sizing - Small is very small and medium is much, much bigger.

Great travel shirt

would love for the shirt to be a bit longer in length I have the purple and the green and agree that the tan is just blah......how about a blue?
