Eastern Mountain Sports 54-in. Sport Laces Reviews:
Laces helped hold boots on my feet
I used this product to lace up a pair of boots. I started at the bottom, then just zig-zagged the laces from eyelet to eyelet in what became a diamond shaped pattern. The laminations at the ends of each lace facilitated threading the eyelets nicely. At the end, there were two slack ends left over, so I just tied those together using a simple bow knot to help hold the boots on my feet. To take off the boots, I simply untie the bow and slip the boots off my feet.
These would be perfect for hiking boots, but also pair nicely with outdoor walking or running shoes. I bought these laces to replace the laces on my Northface hiking shoes. The eyelets on these shoes are fairly narrow, but with a pair of needle-nose pliers I was able to get them on without too much trouble. These are definitely nicer than the stock laces that came with my shoes.
