Eastern Mountain Sports Summit Socks 2-Pack Reviews:

Pretty nice sock

Pretty nice socks. I am always trying different brands for our big family of hikers/backpackers. These are as good as any of the others and better than some in some respects:

1) They fit very well-probably due to the nylon and spandex.

2) The colored heel and toe make it easy to keep organized from other similar socks.

3) They seem to be wearing extremely well in the heel. I will let you know in a couple of years.

4) They pill like crazy which I consider to be a plus as it indicates to me that there is the right proportion of wool to the other reinforcing materials like nylon and spandex. This is only noticeable when you put them on.

Have been searching for this EXACT type

I used to own many pairs of these socks and finally wore them all out. When I went to replace them I couldn't find them anywhere. My husband found these at EMS and gave me 2 pairs for Christmas. They were my FAVORITE gift!!! The only thing that I wish is that they came in size SMALL. My shoe size is 7 1/2 and the MEDIUM socks are juuuuust too big to fit without the socks slipping around my heels. I have noticed the same complaint in several of the reviews and hopefully the powers that be will take notice and remedy the size problem. If they do, they will have a customer with happy feet for life!

Nice addition to my collection!

These socks feel like little pillows for my feet! They're very comfy to wear around the house, but also very warm to wear on snowy hikes or walking around the city in the winter. They're thick, so some of my shoes are a little tight with them, so plan to wear them with roomier boots. As a woman, I found them to be a little big, but I'm hoping they'll shrink a bit over time. They don't sag, but I do have to pull the heel beyond my heel so they fit. I would still recommend them though!

Good cold-weather sock

I bought these socks for my boyfriend who works at a ski resort on the night shift making snow. They keep his feet warm and dry, and the socks dry quickly if his feet sweat from being inside heavy boots. They're soft on the inside and stay up well. However, he wears them regularly and puts a lot of wear and tear on them, so they usually only last a few months. For the average user, I'm sure they'd last much longer.

Wonderful Socks!!

I've been wearing these socks for close to 15 years..except for the heel they last and last. Very soft and cushiony. I wish they came in Small..I think they used to since some of my 8 or so pairs are smaller and shorter(I wear size 5 shoe). They do shrink a bit in the dryer which helps.
Also wish I could buy just red ones..but at least there is some color. All in all great socks!!

Warm and comfortable

I used it as a third layer. It over 2 other pairs of medium weight socks plus a foot warmer. The socks did great but as I slipped my boots off and on the socks seemed to stretch a bit. They were comfortable and kept my feet warm in the cold. Outside temp in Harbin, China around -17C to -24C.
My whole family had a pair of these socks.

Best Socks Ever

I train dogs and am outdoors with them summer and winter. These are the only socks I wear anymore, tried others, but these are the best. I get the largest ones and they shrink a bit in the dryer...only wear seems to be at the heel, and I have pairs that I have mended and have worn for 5 or 6 years now! PRICY but quality almost justifies it!

Warmest socks out there.

These are comfortable and the warmest socks that I have come accross. They are good for outdoor winter use. It is also great to wear them around the house during cold season, especially on tiles or hardwood floors. You just need to wash them inside out the 1st few times to get rid of the loose lint. I have bought dozens of pairs for myself and others. Highly recommend!

I bought these for my husband for a good around-the-house pair of warm socks. We have a lovely 100+ year old home and it's very drafty. With all-wood floors he needed something to keep his feet warm in the winter. He LOVES these socks and puts them on first thing when we get home from work. The lining is super soft, too!

Well worth the money!

I live in New England and make part of my living plowing snow, sanding, and controlling ice in commercial parking lots and walkways. Most of my "winter socks" would stretch out after a few wear/wash cycles and start slipping off in my boots. I have not had that problem with these socks. They are warm, comfortable, and stay up where they belong.
