My everyday boxer brief

I have the lightest tech wich available and couldnt be happier with these. I have a muscular build and they fit my tree trunk thighs nicely and stay put as well. The fabric is not the softest material but I do enjoy the feel of these, you definitely know your wearing a tech piece but I like that feel. It feels light, airy, breathable and secure; everything I like to feel in my B.Briefs.

Now other people have reviewed the band on these tend to roll. I have to agree but since these reviewers didnt say what their body type is that info is useless. Im 5'9 and 175 and since I have a little ponch in the stomach I think the band rolls because of my little belly. BUT my cotton cheap boxers do not roll so then again.

The quality is top notch I have been wearing these for close to two years(i have 3 pairs) and I have no sings of wear.

Bottom line is that during the fall, spring and summer months and sometimes in the winter these BB's keep my bottom dry and comfortable. But it seems they do have an issue with the band but I bought mine in 08/09 so maybe its fixed.

Best pair of underwear I've ever owned

I'm not quick to take the time to review a pair of underwear but honestly from the moment I put these on it was quite obvious that these are the best pair of boxer briefs I have ever owned. They fit amazingly well, are extremely comfortable, and seem to breathe like a champion. I wish I had bought more! The only possible downside I can see is if they wear out quickly but it's better to burn out than to fade away as they say.

pricey but worth it

These are the second item I had to return because they were too small. I am a large in everything I wear. I bought a techwick shirt that was also too small. I won't be buying on line anymore. I obviously need to go to a store and try things on.
The people there are enormously helpful and knowledgeable. Service ia awesome in store and on line.

Travel Underwear.

Since I lost my checked luggage years ago, being a frequent traveller, I developed a carry on strategy.
The most important feature of travel is clean underwear. When I needed some replacements, I looked to Eastern Mountain Sports, my favorite online sportswear store, and was not disappointed. The EMS sports underwear line was perfect for me in my travels. Wash overnight, ready to wear in the morning.

Good light weight undies

Very good boxer briefs. Very light weight and dry extremely fast. Would be great for traveling, athletic activity. Legs ride up a little bit but not as badly as other undies I've tried. Material doesn't feel quite as soft to the touch as I had hoped, but once you put them on you don't really notice any difference. Seem sturdy, but I haven't owned them that long.

Great product. waistband rolls though

the model from 2 years ago had a waistband that had EMS stitching in it, and was about 1/4 inch less wide. No rolling there. I think the non-branded waistband from this years product was designed to be less expensive, hence the roll. Im 6'1 and 170lbs.

Still great product. highly recommended. But they need to fix the waistband.

Comfortable Undies

I use these for working outdoors in the summer. They work great and feel very comfortable in very hot conditions....I also use them for picnics n outdoor stuff in the heat as well

No Sweat

The EMS Boxer Briefs are very comfortable. They dry quickly which eliminates chafing and heat rash that cotton underwear can cause. I enjoy hiking in them and my wife finds them sexy..

Wow amazing underwear

I live in India and in the dry heat is is 114° and in the monsoon is is 100° and 100% humidity...these are the best yet...well done EMS.

To be Brief, these Briefs are great

These briefs were used on a long backwater trek.
Were easy to wash and dried quickly. In the future I would suggest that when available order in Black.

Negative Reviews:

Not as expected

My husband has a pair of Techwick boxer briefs that he got a number of years ago, which are his most favorite pairs of underwear. When I bought him a few more pairs, he was disappointed that they were not the same sleek to the touch material that he has enjoyed so much. We were sad to learn that this material version of the techwick boxers are no longer being made.

Change is not always good

Have a few pair of these from a few years ago; they are great and looked to replace them. Should have known better than to get a pair with the new waistbands, they roll down like no other I have ever experienced. Thought I was stuck with them but just read the awesome return policy at EMS even on underwear. Off to the store!

waist way too small, cannot wear.

The waistband is too tight and tends to roll up, amplifying the effect. It was too late to return the item after wearing them several times, so it was an expensive mistake. (3 pairs) Aside from that, I'm betting they are great, but I don't know if I dare take a chance on a larger size, due to the cost. Sad.

do not buy these

These shorts are unwearable due to the waistband .I had read this in another review and ignored it.The waistband rolls over and tubes itself unlike anything else I have ever owned and is so uncomfortable that they are useless.I really wanted to like them, but they are not good for anything.

Rolling waist band

Purchased for quick drying quality for outdoor use. Last year's model had a much better performing waist band.

Neutral Reviews:

Eh, their alright.

These are not all that great, especially when compared to other popular brand moisture wicking boxers.

My favorite brand gives a slight chill as the moisture is evaporated whenever a wind goes up/thru your pants/shorts. These only do so with a mighty wind.

The top elastic band bends in half. This is not comfortable.

The bottom of the legs rolls up on you. This is uncomfortable and unacceptable. I shouldn't have to reach up my shorts to pull my underwear down.

The fabric on the legs is not sheer. So it doesn't easily slide on it self, it kind of wears. A big reason I buy these sort of things is so that my legs don't rub together as I march. Instead, they rub on themselves and cause friction! Exactly what I don't want!

They wick moisture though, and are comfortable otherwise. I use them for everyday use now instead of for physical activity.

Mine was very small

These were very small. Ordered a medium which usually fits snugly, but was unwearable. Looked like a small to me. At the same time I ordered the boxers in the same fabric and size and they are fine.
I find the fabric acceptable and quick drying for sweaty activities. Not as comfy as exoff... (the boxers that is - as these were unwearable)
Dallas at Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) on 02/02/2012

Great, but......

They fit well but the waistband rolled no matter what I did. With or without a tucked shirt, the waistband curled and then wouldn't uncurl. That lead to a "roll" around my waist that was uncomfortable and awkward to tuck a shirt over.
I returned mine. You shouldnt have to fight your underwear.
Otherwise, comfortable.
Jim the runner at Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) on 05/05/2012

Size Up

I purchased a medium according to the sizing chart, but they didn't fit around my thighs. They would tighten up and slide and bunch upward. Very Uncomfortable. Returned them for a large and now the problem is pretty much solved, but they are still a little snug. If you have large thighs, size up.
Derick at Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) on 02/02/2012

Wicking underwear works ok

The product is utilitarian (the wicking/drying aspect is ok), but the wide elastic waist band rolls over on itself and is uncomfortable. I think they are small for their reported size. A larger size might be more comfortable.
smsdvm at Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) on 12/12/2012

Pretty good

As a Techwick product, it's breathable and good for athletic endeavors. My only complaint would be that the elastic waist has tendency to roll over which is a bit annoying.
