Eastern Mountain Sports Thunderhead Full-Zip Pants Reviews:

Solid choice for rain pants

Used these on a Mt Rainier ascent and they performed well. The full length zippers are essential features for getting them on and off without removing your boots. Haven't used them enough to judge their long term durability, but they survived a series of glissades down the Muir Snowfield with no signs of wear. Only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because I would have preferred front pockets to hold tissues, light gloves, etc.

Good as a shell or rain pant

Grabbed them as a shell for winter hiking in ADK. Wanted Gore-tex, but these will probably get ripped or poked from climbing High Peaks, from aggressive use. Looking to keep the moisture our and the snow off. Fairly breathable and full legs or nice. Needs to improvement in waist area to tighten up when they get lose. Drawstring only lass for so long.

Just what I expected.

No complaints. Used them sitting out on two cold rainy nights watching soccer games. They kept me dry and warm despite a driving wind. Quality construction. I would recommend these rain pants especially if you want to have a choice of length in the inseam.

Good Shell

Bought these for shell use for winter snowshoeing/hiking. Kind of noisy/plastic feeling but you don't notice it during use. Seem fairly durable and breathable. Keeps me plenty warm from wind/snow/wet with an under-layer. I may use them as rain pants for canoeing as well.
