I would buy 10 more of these if I could!

I bought one of these for our 7 year old Nephew for Christmas after seeing several videos on Youtube. Grown men were using them (they were flown up to the top of the Alps and dropped with these things!)and even a 2 year old girl! Our Nephew had a blast on it. It takes a few runs to get used to using your body with the sled. He loved it so much, we bought one for our 5 year old daughter. She and my Husband had a blast and did NOT want to come home! He loved the workout and couldn't believe how tough this little thing is and wants one of his own! Possibly a future olympic sport??

Great Sleds

My sister and I each got one for Christmas. We went sledding in New Hampshire around New Year's Day and these sleds worked great. They go pretty fast and give pretty good control. They are light and easy to carry up hills. They seem sturdy enough to last for a few years, easy, and we had people from 12-year-olds to 50-somethings riding on them.
Only thing is that they are bulky, but we have an 8-passenger car so it was no problem to stow them with luggage for 4 and 2 kids, 2 adults.

Oh what fun it is to ride...

Bought these for Christmas for my son and me. Got a good snowstorm last week and got a chance to go sledding. At first it was a little tough to sled since the snow was powdery. After a few runs to compact the snow the fun could begin. My 5 year old son loving racing and since the Zipfy is so light, he could carry it back to top of the hill for more runs.

Best gift ever

I bought three just to give them away. This is not a new product. It was on the market in Germany 30 years ago and my brother and I had each one. We loved it. Easy to carry, fast, maneuverable, great for jumping. Never had a better sled and I cannot wait to borrow it from my friends (who received them from me) to use it again myself for a few more runs.

super fast with control

This sled reminds you of how fun sledding used to be -- way better than those junky foam sliders that shred on the slopes, more cushioned than single layer saucers and shutes (tho our 7yr old goes very fast on his). But it needs packed snow, not 36" of fresh powder on Mt Baker!

Simply the best sled ever

Purchased one for each of my 4 children for Christmas, they range in age from 8 to 13
They all loved them
we have gone through a lot of sleds and these are by far the best.
Rugged, easy to use, fast and easy to carry
good for the parents too

Grandkids loved it flew down hill

Steering was great when we learned to touch snow on left or right to turn. Grand kids loved the size and weight to carry up the hill. Makes hills longer for Grandparents to climb. Does need fairly steep hill to run best.

Bought this for my 5 year old. We went flying down hills near where we live in upstate NY, USA. I tried it as well. I'm 205 lbs. and it worked perfectly. Fun for the whole family, to be cliched, but accurate.

An amazing winter toy !!

This is an amazing sled... it's fast, easy to carry, and very durable. So much better than most plastic sleds on the market. Come to think of it, it might be the best sled on the market !!

Negative Reviews:

Expensive plastic

I thought this would be a great sled for me since I recently had abdominal surgery and can no longer use my Swiss Bob(luge) sled for lengthy periods. After one run down a black diamond trail, same trails my Swiss Bobs are used down, the handle broke off and the sled itself cracked. I paid $15 for my Swiss Bob sled and it's held up for over 5 years.....this thing at [$] didn't hold up for 10 mins. Figures....things get more expspensive and yet made of junk...

It did not work!

I got on the sled at the top of a hill and pushed off and it did not slide. I pushed myself laboriously to the bottom and only once did it slide about a foot on its own.

Neutral Reviews:

Good for some people, not for others

We had some friends over after the last snowstorm. With 4 adults and 4 kids (all under 8) we found that some of us enjoyed the sled while others didn't. My husband (6 ft. tall, about 180 lbs) said the sled was too small for him and he didn't like it. My daughter (age 7) loved it and was the best out of all of us at controlling it. I enjoyed it, too, while others felt that it was tough to steer. All in all, I don't know if it's really any better than our other, standard sleds. But it's nice to use it for variety sake.
