The Easton EA70 Ergo Handlebar gives all-around competitive cyclists an optimal balance between light weight, comfort and affordability. EA70 Aluminum with TaperWall technology keeps the scales light for a non-carbon bar, while the wider drop grip reduces long-distance fatigue and increases control on twisting alpine routes.

Easton EA70 Ergo Drop Handlebar Width
| Rating: | ![]() |
This review is a warning about the way Easton sizes this handlebar. The bars are actually very good if you get a size that fits you. If you ride a 44cm center to center width bar, the Ergo drop model of handlebar at a 44 cm size may be too narrow for you. Easton measures this bar at the end of the drops which are flared out on both sides. The 44 cm bar measures a little under 42 cm at the top of the drops where the brake levers are mounted. Therefore my advice is that you should order one size larger to get the right fit at the brake levers and go with a different handlebar if you are looking for a 44 cm width at the brake levers. Note that FSA compact bars are similarly sized, which they mention on their website. Easton does not provide this information on their website. The helpful people at Realcyclist confirmed that the Easton EA70 Wing handlebar does not flair out at the bottom of the drops so a 44 cm bar is 44 cm wide at the brake levers.
