Customer Service - Drilling Department

This review is more about the in house drilling and not the ball itself. I Had to have the ball drilled three differenct times to get it correct. THe staff was VERY helpful and had no problem drilling a new ball. the first two drillings were from a misreading of the form. they re-took my measurments and ended up with the same layout. the person drilling the ball drilled it for a left handed person instead of a right hander. but instead of complaining they were so very helpful and got a new ball and drilled it again. the second one was off as well. the person that conveyed the information told the driller the wrong instructions. the third time was the charm. I accually spoke to the driller directly and everything was great. I love the ball and I say again the customer service was great. they made sure I was happy.

EXCELLENT BALL FOR STARTERS

This ball was bought for me as a birthday gift. After having the holes drilled at my local pro shop, I took it out for a spin. I must say that I was EXTREMELY pleased with its performance. I am no pro bowler, but it is a very comfortable ball to bowl with and I would recommend it to any one who is serious about bowling, but just starting out. Great ball at a great price!

GOOD BALL

my first ball was a strike as well....it took a few games to figure out the rotation of the hook. this is a late hook that will skid on you early. the hook is dependent on the speed of the ball. when it hit it hits well....hits the tight pocket well....the hi pocket ..well any high pocket is always bad news..good luck and always always take your ball to a pro to get drilled!!!

great ball...great price, enough said

First off, I read the other reviews before purchasing the ball and was a little nervous as to what to expect. All I have to say is it is the bowler!!! not the ball...it hooks wonderfully. It's not as aggressive as the others in my arsenal which makes it great for picking up 10's and splits. my average has gone up substantially. A def. must have!!!

Loving it!

First roll with my new Crush was a strike. Took a few games to adjust, but rolled a 219 in practice, starting with four strikes in a row! Looking forward to my Tuesday league.

FANTASIC BALL, VERY POOR SERVICE

Took 7 days to drill my holes. The ball is on point in every aspect.

Negative Reviews:

Good product, poor service

I'm very satisfied with the quality of the ball, but I would purchase it elsewhere in the future. Despite the fact that I ordered it in-store, they would/could not take my hand measurements and pre-drill it. Once I received it, I called the store (I live an hour from the nearest Dick's) to ensure someone was on staff who could drill it for me. The associate I spoke was reluctant to help me because it was a weekend (a Sunday, actually), and he was too busy. Nevertheless, I convinced him to help me. Once I'd arrived at the store (and noticed at least 3 sales associates standing around watching a football game - so much for "we're too busy on weekends"), it took nearly 40 minutes for him to drill the ball, and when he was finished, the holes were very shallow (like a fingertip grip, which is not what I asked for). He was extremely hesitant to drill any deeper, saying this was how they drilled all of their balls. Afterward, I took my ball down to my local bowling alley, and they agreed that whoever drilled the ball was inept to say the least. They fixed it, and now I'm quite happy. But I would not deal with the poor service at Dick's again.

It must be just me

Just purchased this bowl and liked the Hype that went with it and very good price. Am League bowler and have just tried it out. DOES NOT HOOK. Lane a bit dry. Very comfortable and well designed. Time will tell if I can get a hook out of this. You get for what you pay for as the saying goes. Would like to recommend to a friend but not yet. Old model according to my Pro Shop expert.

no hook on dry lanes

This ball will not hook on dry lanes. So far I have only tried this ball on dry lanes. If you want a strike throw it very hard. If you throw a medium speed ball and hit the head pin it will leave you with a split most of the time.

Doesnt hook only on verry light oil.

Does hook well on very light oil, if your a leage bowler with oiled lanes save your money and get a better ball if you throw a hook.
