ECCO's Cross Shoe - I have owned four pairs of these shoes. (I keep extras on hand in case ECCO stops making them.) They are comfortable from the moment you put them on. No break in needed. They provide great support for your feet while standing or walking and provide almost as much stability and traction as a good pair of running shoes. They are the best shoe I have found for someone, like me, with balance problems. They can take lots of abuse (getting wet, etc.) and will last for several years even with daily wear. The only caveat: They look good for casual shoes, but are not appropriate for wearing with a suit.

Bravo! Eccos are the Best! I needed to replace my work shoes which were the Ecco Neoflex. I wore those out after wearing them almost everyday for 3 years. Tried looking at other shoes (the Earth shoe Ash model, but it made my feet look too big and the arch support was too high for my low foot). After a speedy return/exchange. I ultimately settled on the Cross. Worth the extra money. I was not disappointed. Neither will you. You can wear these straight out of the box with no break in time. Very stylish, comfortable and along with Zappos superior customer service makes for a very positive buying experience. Thank you Zappos!

Awesome shoes - I bought Ecco Cross 5 years ago. I was impressed by how comfortable, durable and nice-looking they are. They have not even changed much and are good for almost any occasions. So I just bought another pair of Ecco Cross to alternate with the older pair. When I received my new Ecco Cross, I noticed the texture of leather is not symmetrical one shoe is coarser than the other. Called Zappos for exchange, and I received the other pair next day even before I returned the previous pair. I also bought a pair of Ecco Austin cap toe; they are as comfortable as the Ecco Cross.

I discovered this shoe many years ago, and 6 or 7 pairs later it remains the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I wear it to work every day (I am a teacher), to formal occasions, and even when hiking through the woods. After about 8 months of constant wear, the upper seams near the big toe invariably ripped, but my shoe repairman can always sew them back up for about 4 more months at a time before they rip again. I've tried other Cross shoes in search of more durability, but none can match the Cross for comfort.

This is the second pair of Eccos I have bought through Zappos. Zappos is the best, I will never buy a pair of shoes anywhere else. Now this pair that I bought about a week ago is the best pair of shoes that I have ever owned. I have had sore feet for years, but no more! They fit perfect, good cushion and just a little bit wider than average, which helps me out. I mean this, the best shoes I have ever owned! Every year I will be buying a new pair of Ecco shoes from Zappos.

I've had seven pairs of these. They are the most comfortable shoe of all that I've tried. I walk/run/climb around all day in my job (commercial photographer, on location), and these are the best shoes ever. And the difference of how much more tired I and my feet are at the end of the day if I have to wear my other shoes - including other Eccos - is remarkable. And for how I wear them hard, and every single day, they stand up remarkably well. And now I am going to buy my eighth pair.

I never have a problem with the soles wearing out on shoes no matter what brand, its always the uppers that give out while the soles are always still in great condition. Not the case here, the soles just went flat after about a month. While comfortable when I first bought them, the soles got hard after a few weeks. Felt like I was wearing a really cheap shoe without inserts. These try to be a top line shoe but not quiet there. Try Mephisto casual shoes, you'll see the difference there.

Best pair of casual shoes ever - These shoes appear narrow; however, I normally wear a 4E in New Balance shoes and I can wear these shoes in there standard D size. I had the same experience others have had concerning the soles. I purchased an earlier model which had major sole issues. The soles disintegrated quickly, even with limited use. Apparently the new version has a dark sole and appears to be able to last longer. I definitely recommend these shoes for those with flat wide feet.

Over the years I have had many pairs of Ecco cross shoes. My feet tend towards sweaty, and these are the only shoes that I've ever owned able to handle that condition. Also I destroy shoes, and these last longer, much longer, than any others I've had. Never had a problem with the toe stitches as some have mentioned. The leather maintains its integrity for the life of the shoe. Great product which I used to buy at Nordstrom, glad I found Zappos, makes it easier.

I like these shoes - I had a pair of these over 10 years ago. I have bought a dozen other Eccos since. Now I have gone back because I don't care for the looks of the new Ecco styles. I am glad I did, so I have bought a second pair in black. The arch is a bit high, but once I get used to them these are great shoes. They are what made the brand successful.
