I used my new Ecco Sport Biom Hike 1.1 Hydromax boots today, and they worked very well. For me, there was little break-in time, maybe 30 minutes, and all that amounted to was a period when the right side of the upper tongue rubbed my leg a little. I thought it was going to be a little problem, possibly a blister, requiring more wearing and possibly padding the site, but within 30 minutes, it was a problem no more, and I had done nothing to correct anything. I think that area of my leg was not used to the pressure, and with a little time, my body got used to it. These shoes are tremendously comfortable, about like gloves on my feet. I had not bought such expensive boots before, primarily because I thought cheaper models were probably just as good. That theory may still apply to many shoes and boots because having bought many pairs over the years, some high priced models just are not up to the task and are overpriced in my view. These boots are worth every cent and more if they asked it. These are the best and most comfortable boots I have ever owned in this type of boot. My hike today was around four miles on the Highlander Trail in Cameron Park, Waco, Texas. This is rated as a black for hiking and biking. I use this area as a training ground for my trips to the Big Bend and other backpacking trips that I take. Many nationally know these trails as premier biking trails for regional and national biking competitions. For me, they are just great hiking country, and the Highlander is the best. My new Ecco Sport Biom Hike 1.1 Hydromax boots handled them with no problems and great comfort and support the entire way. If you want a good pair of boots, these are good ones to buy. Like I said, comfort, very good fit, support, strong, tough boots, light weight, everything I want in a boot, and they are all in these. I am really glad that I bought them! I also just bought a pair of Ecco Sport Biom Walk 1.1 shoes and wrote a review. These boots are as good as those shoes and vice versa. I love the feel of both pairs!
