Great Kayak

I've been wanting a kayak for a while and wasn't sure which one I wanted. I attended EMS's demo day and tried 6 different kayaks and kept coming back to the Skylark. It's very light, fast take-offs and stops, quick turning, tons of storage, and very sharp looking. I have owned it for 2 solid months now and taken it out alot. I absolutely love it. If there is any complaint I have, it would be that the seat bottom could use a little more cushioning, but that's after I've been in it for several hours. The EMS workers at the event were extremely helpful and knowledgable and played a key part of my purchase. They really should have open demo twice a year instead of once. The Skylark was the most expensive kayak I tried that day, but only by a little more than the cheapest I tried and well worth the extra. I felt I got far more and the value was spot on.

Wonderful light kayak

I thought my kayak is the EMS Annapolis store. I cannot say enough about the staff there in helping me pick my Kayak. The Kayak they help me choose is wonderful. The kayak tracks stable and it's very lightweight. It is only 40 pounds and I can lift it onto my roof rack easily. The cockpit is a nice size which is easy to get in and out of. Finding a spray skirt and a cockpit cover will be a little bit difficult. The opening is very large and 36 inches. The Bodys somewhere between recreational kayaking and touring kayak. I bought it because it was light and handled well. I'm very pleased with my purchase.
