Contact wearer saved by Cat

I used this product for the first time this summer while climbing in the Peruvian Andes Cordillera Mountain Range. I applied two applications to my Julbo Revolution Goggles, Julbo Colorado glacier glasses and my regular eyeglasses. Due to windy conditions, I wore my goggles for a full day from 16,000 to 19,000 ft elevation on summit day. I did not experience any fogging issues the whole day. I also wore my glacier glasses on numerous occasions at high altitudes and did not experience fogging issues either. I did have a slight problem with fogging when I wore my regular eyeglasses, but it quickly went away after a minute. I noticed that I had to warm my glasses up first, since they had been sitting in a tent pocket next to the cold. I climbed two different mountains in two weeks, I had to reapply this product inbetween each mountain trip in order for it to be effective.

Great for snorkel masks

I purchased Cat [*] for my snorkel mask, which I used twice on a recent vacation. The first time, I forgot to bring the [*] along. Our guides told us that spitting on the lenses would keep them from fogging up, but that didn't work too well. The second time, I remembered to clean the lenses with Cat [*] first. Besides having an awesome name (it brings a great laugh), my mask stayed crystal-clear for the duration of my swim. The funniest thing about Cat [*] is that this review program won't let you publish a review that uses the word [*]even though it's the name of the product. :-)

love this for snorkeling!

After trying everything under the sun to keep my snorkel mask from fogging up (spit, gels, drops, sprays) CatCrap would do the trick. It's AMAZING - better by FAR than any other product I have used. A foggy mask really ruins snorkeling, and this product works for me for hours as compared to a few minutes for other products. I carry it on the plane with my valuables when we travel so it won't get lost if my luggage does!

Only thing that EVER worked under helmet

I tried everything on the market. Either they hurt my sports glasses or just plain didn't work. This is the only thing that worked for my glasses under my goalie helmet!

Great for Motorcycles!!!

This is the only thing I have found that really works for motorcycle helmets and sunglasses. It's awesome for the winter cold. I have all my friends using it now. :))

This Poo really works!!

Cat Poo keeps goggles from fogging, period. It is a slight bother to apply/wipe off. If they could make spray-on type (Cat Pee?) that would be more convenient.

The best!

It is the best lens defogger I have ever used. I have given it to several of the people that I swim with every day.

Cat [*] Works

You don't need to use this very often unless you work in a sauna, but it does its job when you need it to.

Negative Reviews:

Scratched my new goggles up bad!

Carefully following the directions on the label, I applied a small amount using my clean finger to the inside of all three of my new lenses for my Smith I/OS'. I then used a clean chamois to buff the lenses. It left many tiny circular scratches all over the lenses. Some were larger than others and noticeable when I have them on, and will certainly be noticeable in the sun.

I have used Cat Crud (apparently you can't say the real name of this product in an REI review because it's profane?) on my Oakley A-Frame lenses and never had a problem like this. I would definitely not recommend this product.

The cat has cr@pped!

I've used this product for a few years and it seems that as my ski-goggles got older the Cat Cr#p didn't do anything or as much. I figure it was more the goggles having the factory application still intact than it was the Cat Cr#p that was keeping the fog away. I just applied a fresh coat went out skiing and between the snowy conditions and sweating I was all fogged up on the lift or while standing until the moving air cleared me up down the slope. Happened last season in the same conditions. I wouldn't say it doesn't work, but it isn't what the consumer desires.

The only part of this product description that is true is the "cr**" part.

I've tried it many times on my sunglasses for both back-country skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. It does an OK job of cleaning the lenses (but water works for that as well) but is not effective for anit-fogging. My glasses fogged up just like without this product. All this cr** is.....is a rip-off with a trendy name.

OK for Snorkel mask but NOT Swim goggles

We used this product when snorkeling and it helped a little to keep the mask from fogging. I had to apply several times throughout the day.
It didn't work at all on our swim goggles. I am going to try a different anti-fog product for those since we use swim goggles daily. I would not buy this again.

Cat Crap anti fog on motorcycle helmet

I used this product for motorcycle riding in a little above freezing temperatures and it did not work at all. I will apply once more try again but I am not hoping for much.

Not so good at preventing fog on eyeglasses. That being said, it is good for cleaning the lenses.
