El Naturalista Yggdrasil N164 Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

I am thrilled with these shoes! I tried other El Naturalista clog styles, but they were so loose and sloppy that the clogs fell off my feet (Iggdrasil N096 and also the Wakataua -- it fit better but the heel cup hit me at the wrong spot) because the straps were too long and not adjustable. These are perfect. I love the fun style and colors, and was so disappointed when other styles didn't fit. When I saw these and the other (negative) review, I thought they might just work and they are absolute keepers. I think the previous reviewer was disappointed, but really can one realistically expect every model of every shoe by one company to fit? Of course not! I wanted to give her a thumbs down for being unrealistic, but her review actually helped me realize that these could work for me. You have to find a style and fit that is just right, and not every shoe made by a given company will ever be "just right." These are indeed a more snug fit than the other El Naturalista I tried, and for me that is good...not so much in width/length, but over the top of one's foot. The fact that you can adjust the strap offers a greater range of fits, but if you have particularly high/thick feet, they might be tight. For me, the comfort is as good as my Naots (which are still at the top of the heap in terms of comfort) and they have great "fun" appeal. I'm so glad that I can include El Naturalista among my "shoes that work for me". If El Naturalista would make the strap adjustable on the N096, I'd buy them in a heartbeat, too!

I bought this shoe for a trip where I knew I'd be doing lots of walking. I have difficult feet. This shoe is a little heavier than a normal sandal, but the rubber sole/heel make it so comfortable. And to me a heavier shoe means a better workout as I walk. No, it's not so weighty that you can't wear it. It's a great shoe. Love the color and comfort. Easy on/off and wonderfully wearable.

I love the way they look, and the quality is tremendous - these are seriously beefy shoes. The leather is thick, the stitching strong, the buckle is even attached by a strip of metal and a rivet (not a bit of elastic and a couple stitches). The soles are really heavy. They are tight on me (even after I put them on the stretcher) but I have really wide feet.

An addition to my earlier comment: you can see IN THE PICTURE above that these shoes were made in Spain.

Negative Reviews:

I am extremely disappointed in this shoe, I have several pair of El Naturalistas and love them, I ordered the same size that all of my others are and they were too narrow and short in length. I returned them for the next size up and the length was fine, they run far narrower than the El Naturalistas which are made in SPAIN, these do not claim SPAIN as the country of manufacturing...no doubt Mexico or CHINA! El Naturalista has lost my business unless they begin to use the same leather and sizing as the originals. HOWEVER God Bless Zappo's with their hassle free returns over night shipping and fabulous sales reps...
