Endura made the Men’s Humvee ¾ Shorts for dudes who’d rather travel the mountains on a two-wheeled rig than drive around in a civilian tank. The Humvee’s burly nylon ripstop fabric and web belt stand up to the abusive MTB lifestyle, while zippered side vents put climate control in your hands. Endura gave these knickers a detachable liner short with a Coolmax-covered stretch chamois to prevent saddle-induced crotch-burn (you’ll need a doctor for the other kind). Urban styling lets you rock the Humvees even when there's no bike beneath you.

Humve pants from Endura

Everything about these shorts is great except the liner. I like the vent zippers. (always open). Cell phone pocket which I use all the time. Never knew where to put my phone till now. The liner is useless! I bought the Medium as I am a 34 waist and I could hardly get my leg into the liner insert. After I squezzed into the liner I felt like I was going to throw up they were sooooo tight. I don't use them and were my biking shorts under them, I was really disapointed about that as they snaped in nicely and the ones I have to use don't. I don't know who to call to complain about that. Its like they are a size small liner in a med pants.

Good quality materials, and appears to be put together to last. Quite a bit of thought went into the design as well, all pockets, zippers, and adjusters are where you'd expect them, and function easily with gloves on. The pants are shaped with biking in mind, and are very comfortable in the saddle. Not too sure how functional that "cell phone" pocket would be, but it's useful for smaller items (chapstick, trail map, bandaids) I haven't used the inner liner yet, I'm wearing them over long tights this winter, but they also appear to be well made with a nice thick chamios that's correctly shaped. One thing to note, these seem to run a bit small. I have a 34" waist (really) and I bearly fit in a large.

Great short, a little snug

I absolutely love these shorts, but the medium was a little tight on me (32" waist). The button just doesn't want to stay fastened all the time, but other than that these are great. I didn't have much luck with the liner, but I never have had very good luck with the liners included with other shorts too. I just use a different liner with them and everything's cool.

First Endura purchase | |

First ride using these 3/4 shorts was also the first storm of the season here locally. Heavy mist was absolutely no problem. Ventilation was handled by a nifty pair of side zips at mid thigh that allow air to circulate through. And the liner pad is KILLER. Most comfy pad I've tried in a long time.Design works really well on the bike, no "catch" on the seat when getting weight back on steeper descents. Khaki color probably isn't the best choice for muddy conditions, but I'll gladly purchase another pair in grey.

Dig These Knickers | |

Funny, my experience is almost exact as jscarry's. My first ride with the Hummvee knicker was up over Snoqualmie pass on a COLD day; super comfortable, functional belt, and really nice pad. Though cell pocket is placed funny, it is moot for my use- so many other pockets to use. Endura did a great job articulating the knee area with pattern design. I kept looking down to see the fabric glide on my knees with no restriction. It is nice to be so impressed on a first ride basis, good sign.

I love these knicks. I commute in them almost every day and rock them on cooler singletrack rides. I can't say enough about how great they are. The legs are on the narrow side--these aren't very baggy--but I like that about them. I think they're true to size.

great shorts - sizing sucks!

I ordered these for my husband - he loved them but they were just too small. He usually wears an XL or XXL, but the XXL on these were still way too tight and that's the largest size they make. Bummer, they look like great shorts!

One of the best out there. I have 2 sets and will not ride with anything else. The removable liner keeps me from singing soprano and the shorts take a beating without any problems. More pockets that you have stuff to carry also.

As we age or gain weight, just who should be wearing lycra garb? I'm very happy to see baggy cycling apparel and Endura's build quality is amazing. I wear Assos cycling lycra and I would compare Endura to Assos. They look nice, the liner is a quality product in itself, there are a ton of pockets well situated for stuffing gear and not hindering one's riding. I wear a 35" waist and the XL has more than ample room.

Size is all wrong | |

I ordered the XXL and my waist is a 40...the sizing lists the xxl as 42-44? Umm...not really. They look like a great pair of shorts but if they are too tight to wear as baggy shorts what's the point?

Manprees | |

I like these shorts and the detachable taint pad. The style is definitely gonna take awhile to get used to. One day my wife said "Hey hunny, we have the same pants on!". After the aciditic taste left my mouth, I rode my bike for a few hours in them. At the first opportunity I changed into some other shorts and enjoyed the rest of my day. Endura is a top of the line brand and these manprees are awesome for riding and venting those areas that need venting, other than that they stay in my drawer, ready for the next ride.
