Equinox 12 ft. x 12 ft. Polyethylene Ground Cloth -
Campmor Ground cloths are made from a sturdy, durable 6 mil clear polyethylene without grommets. Ground cloths protect your floor from rips, holes, and abrasions. They also add another layer of waterproofing to the floor and they keep the bottom of the floor relatively clean from mud, dirt and debris. Ground cloths should be trimmed or folded 2-4 inches shorter than the tent floor. If the ground cloth sticks out it can collect water between the ground cloth and the tent floor which could lead to water in the tent. Wt. 4 lbs. 5 oz.*
*Weights may vary slightly due to variances in the polyethylene.

Positive Reviews:

Definitely needed to preserve tent floor

On rocky campground tent sites, this thing was a must for me! I tried my tent without the ground cloth, and floor holes quickly started forming.

So then I decided to use the ground cloth, which made installing it after the tent was already up very interesting!

On softer soil you may be ok without protection, but in a campground, I think a ground cloth under the tent is a must have.

Worked fine

I bought two 12x12s to cut into 8 6x6 for camping with a troop of girl scouts. It worked great and was very economical that way.

Negative Reviews:

Slippery safety hazard

Attempted to use this underneath/outside the floor of the Eureka Northern Breeze Screen house under the Eureka snap in floor. The item was far too slippery even with the snap in floor as a barrier between. It was a safety hazard and was therefore removed and never used.

NOT Ground Cloth

This is NOT ground CLOTH. This is, PLASTIC: hard, slippery, PLASTIC. Exactly what you'd buy at a hardware store. 1 star because it is not what is advertised at all.
