50 ft. Gold Reflective Cord

As others have commented, get rid of those black guy lines! When strong winds are gusting and the tent has to be guy lined to the maximum, even the most experienced backpacker can get tripped up in the middle of the night with black lines. This guy line is everything that I expect from a reflective guy line. They are light weight and durable, and visible at night (there is a reflective strand woven into the line). This guy line is nearly identical to the Kelty triptease guy line. As with most reflective guy lines that I've used, these work best when using a headlamp or, if using a hand light holding it at eye level when looking for the lines.

Great for anchoring my tent

I camp in State Parks and set my tent on the asphalt (like the "big boy campers." I use the reflective cord to stake my tent out (beyond the asphalt) and attach the cord as my guy lines extending them to anchor the tent beyond the asphalt in the ground.

Save those black cords !

Again save those black guy lines they send with your new tent and use them for shoe laces or gear lofts.Because they're not good for guy lines at night or any other time.Reflective cord is the only way to roll !

No tripping with this cord!

Getting up in the middle of the night to go see a man about a dog,and tripping over your tent guy lines is no fun.Of course, having a flashlight in your hands helps to make this reflective cord work.

Very Pleased

I use this on my tent fly tie-out loops and my tent stake loops, I use it for guylines, and some extra higher up to mark my tent location. Very happy with it.

Will outfit all tents and tarps

Tent Guide lines for the visualy imparied. We are outfitters for wilderness and general camping. To many times have our customers have run in guide lines in the dark.

Gold Reflective Rope

I use this product on every stake ,guy line and tie down. At night with your headlamp, it glows like diamond strings. Never trip over your setup again.

Reflective cord

Very handy - I use it for a laundry line, for general camp use - reflective tape keeps me from strangling myself during late trips to the latrine!

Reflects Light Like a Star

Great for tent stake tie downs and where night time foot traffic will be passing. Reflects very bright when hit with just a little light.

Gold Reflective Cord

This is not Kelty Triptease, but just as good. I am happy with the purchase and it was what I expected.

Not that impressed!

I ordered this to replace the black guy lines that came with our tent. I cut this line to the proper lengths, packed it up, and took it with us camping.
While I found it slightly easier to see than the black stuff at night, I honestly didn't think it was all that reflective enough to make that much of a difference.
If you need to make up new guy lines to replace lost or worn out ones, then why not get this stuff? It is better than plain black.
If you are going to make a purchase just because of the reflective qualities of this line, then you might want to save your money. I didn't think it made enough of a difference.

Works ok, not great

Bought equinox gold reflective cord for tent/fly tie-downs. It is decently reflective - if you're the one holding the flashlight and it's night time and you're at least 15' away. Bystanders don't see the reflection as well. It is *not* as visible during the day as my original white cords were, so I'm not sure it's really an improvement, or just different. The reflective strand seems a bit rough, so a standard "taught line tent knot" doesn't slide as easily when tensioning as I expected. Suggest you buy one spool and see if you like it before buying 150' like I did.

Improves visibility at night when lit

I use this so my guylines are more visible at night at star parties (astronomy functions).
