Equinox 5 ft. x 8 ft. Polyethylene Ground Cloth -
Campmor Ground cloths are made from a sturdy, durable 6 mil clear polyethylene without grommets. Ground cloths protect your floor from rips, holes, and abrasions. They also add another layer of waterproofing to the floor and they keep the bottom of the floor relatively clean from mud, dirt and debris. Ground cloths should be trimmed or folded 2-4 inches shorter than the tent floor. If the ground cloth sticks out it can collect water between the ground cloth and the tent floor which could lead to water in the tent.

Positive Reviews:

Inexpensive ground cloth!

Much less expensive than the footprint for the tent I bought. Since I don't ever plan to use just a footprint and fly, I didn't need all of the bells and whistles - just some extra protection on the ground.
Dave at Campmor on 06/06/2011

Ok as is.

Be careful not to to fold too tightly as the resultant creases may cause cracking thus rendering the cloth less waterproof.

Definitely Water Proof

Outdoor camping under the stars. Definitely water proof..our sleeping bags stayed dry, unlike those who used a plane tarp
Camper at Campmor on 08/08/2011

Works as expected.

Protects tent floor, prevents moisture from wicking through floor.

Easy to trim to size.

Negative Reviews:

Cheap and Heavy

It's just so cheap and heavy, I didn't mind purchasing the official footprint for the tent at 5 times the price.
I will probably save this for car camping or local use, but I would never lug this on even an overnight backpacking trip.
If you're camping around home or out of the car, this works well and saves money. But if you intend on carrying it more than 3 miles, I suggest something more lightweight.

Tarp is a waste of money

Waste of money. It's big, but heavy. I have one of those red/silver reinforced reflective blankets that works better, packs smaller and is much lighter. I would not buy nor recommend this item to a friend.
