Great utility towel

You can use this for just about anything. Makes a great towel for hot hikes, clean up at the camp, clean up at the river, whatever you need a towel for, this is it.

These are paper thin.

The Lightload towels were not exactly what I was expecting. They come compressed in the shape of a tiny hockey puck. You dampen them and the magically turn into a tiny hand towel. The material reminds me of an absorbent Tyvek type material.

That being said, I am looking forward to trying them out. In their compressed state, they take up no room and are very light. I tugged at the material wet and dry and it did not rip easily. They claim to be usable as fire tender or a bandage.

If you are a minimalist, this may be a great choice for you. If you are looking for something more substantial, you may want to try something else. If you are a gear geek, the size and weight (compressed) is so minimal I suggest you give them a try. Besides if you do not know how to gather your own fire tender or you are mauled by a grizzly, they may save your life ; )
