This is as good as it gets!

Lightest shelter/poncho ever! I tested it as shelter in very damp conditions using a Tyvek ground cloth. a tarp cannot get lighter and have dual functionality. I added one more fuction by wearing a belt to create a great wind breaker on a cold windy afternoon. This is the last item on my 'everything' ultralite quest. Silicone ripstop nylon products are tough, lite, water proof and pack real small. Thank you again, Campmor!

Best Poncho Ever!

I bought this for bird watching in the rain forests and cloud forests. It is not noisy and I could easily bring my binos thru the side between the snaps.
My ht is 62" and it was a bit long for me when walking up steps (I would step on it at times). But I don't think I could find anything better than this one.
Buy it, you will like it!

great product

Lightweight and sturdy. If you and a partner each carry one, they can be put together to form a shelter/rain tarp just like the old military ponchos used to. I have the regular size (not the oversize for the pack) and it's just fine -- don't buy the larger one. Used it on the Mountain to Sea trail and it was great. Pricey but worth it.

Fantastic poncho

I hike extensively in wilderness areas at high elevation in New Mexico. This poncho is the best rain gear I have owned. It is lightweight, breathable, and large enough to cover me (6'3" tall) as well as my pack. I can't recommend this poncho highly enough.

Wet weather Poncho

This poncho will keep you dry. Sure it is more expensive than the cheap ones but what is a dry rifle, scope and a dry hunter worth? I really like the 3 snaps on each side to keep the poncho from "flapping" in windy conditions!!!!

Good product

This product is very lightweight and packs very small. It has buttons along the sides so it can be used as a shelter. Great for camping to be prepared for wet weather without packing much heavier and bulkier gear

I like the air circulation possible with this poncho. Traditional rain suits are good for in camp, but are steam baths while hiking. The poncho keeps the rain off without soaking with sweat.

good gear & versatile, as advertised

Used this both as on over-fly for an ancient and wholly inadequate tent i'd borrowed and as poncho over me & pack. Definitely waterproof, packs small, highly affordable extra rain layer.

Nice Poncho

Very light and packable. I use it in the BWCA as a cover over my older rain suit or as a easy cover for light showers in hot weather.

good quality poncho

lightweight and easy to use. Fits easily and works as expected - keeps the rain and wind off me.

Negative Reviews:

I ordered the wrong one!

This thing really sucked! I got wet when it rained. My bug bivy got soaked inside the head area. My headlamp got so wet, it quit working!. I used it as a cover for my bug bivy. The 14 inches from the other poncho tarp was sorely missed. I will reorder the longer, more expensive poncho tarp. I got the poncho shelter. I thought it was the tarp, but.... I screwed myself!
