Designed to withstand the rigors of challenging riding, the Ergon HE2 Gloves achieve full-protection without the burden of technical gadgetry that causes you to lose sensation with the bars. This equilibrium makes them perfect for enduro and endurance racing alike. They're intended to coordinate with the Ergon GE1 grips -- a more traditional style in comparison to Ergon's wing-shape grips.
Technical all-mountain riding demands greater mobility as you sit, stand, and shift your weight around while descending gnarly trails. Not just limited to skills, it also demands uninhibited control of seat droppers, shifters, shock lockouts, and brake levers. For this purpose, the back of the HE2 gloves, as wells as all four fingers, have a layer of a stretchy, synthetic micro-fiber material. And like Ergon's HA2 gloves, these HE2s have a thin padding in strategic areas to increase comfort, but not so much as to cause distraction or a loss of sensitivity.
For reinforcement, there's a Kevlar insert on the outside of the palm that provides serious crash protection in the event of an unplanned dismount. The palms get an added layer of material around the Kevlar panel to further the abrasion resistance. For entry and exit, the HE2 gloves have a wrap-around elastic wrist strap, that's secured with a hook-and-loop closure.
The Ergon HE2 Gloves are available in five sizes from Small to XX-Large and in the colors Black, Red, Blue, and Brown. Please note that Ergon recommends pairing them with its GE1 all-mountain grips.
