Esbit Titanium Stove Reviews:

First stove to weigh less than my pot

I hike a lot with my scout troop and friends and I never had a true hiking stove. The whisperlite international is a great stove, don't get me wrong, but on a short weekend hike and even a long cross country backpack trip it is over kill. It weighs a lot even without fuel. One of my scout friends actually had the old military folding esbit stove and I really wanted one. So I received one for Christmas. It is really small and light. The titanium cools quickly after use and you can blow the fuel out if you don't use the whole thing. I boiled 2 cups of really cold water in about 9 minutes with no wind shield. One thing I don't like is the fact that the fuel leaves a a lot of carbon on the bottom of your pot. The same happens with real fire so it's just a small draw back. All in all, I highly recommend this stove to anyone who likes to pack small and light.
