Peached lining makes this bag unique

I purchased this bag specifically because it had the "peached" fabric interior. I do not like the slippery inner fabric used in most sleeping bags. This fabric feels just a little more cottony while still having the make-up and properties of a more slippery fabric. I was very happy with it.

I was very pleased with the bag overall. It's a very good price, and packs up reasonably small and light. The exterior fabric seems durable, and the zipper worked very well without catching or getting stuck at all. I used it on a chilly night when the temperature dropped to about 40. I woke up at one point in the night feeling a little bit cold, and pulled a small blanket into the neck area. The only reason I felt cool was because some heat was escaping through the neck area. Once I sealed off the top with the blanket, I slept completely warm and toasty. Felt great when I woke up in the morning! If the sleeping bag had a neck baffle (flap to seal in the air around the neck) it would be perfect. Just be aware that you need to close up the top to keep air from escaping in some way - whether by pulling the drawstrings up nice and snug, or using a small blanket or sweatshirt bundled around your shoulders/chest like I did. This would most likely be true of any bag without a neck baffle.

For the price I feel very very satisfied with this purchase. A good price and a very comfortable bag.

Very durable, lightweight bag

I purchased this bag for my younger son nearly three years ago for backpacking and canoe camping trips. As he was only seven at the time, my main reasons for choosing this bag were: It weighs less than three pounds (seven year old kids can't carry much weight backpacking); It was smaller than a regular size bag but larger than a kids bag, which he would have grown out of sooner; It was relatively inexpensive.

This bag has been through three years of camping trips. It has been trampled with dirty feet, wrestled on (and in) and even "wet" at night and I have washed it many times. It still looks new and stubbornly maintains its loft. He has never been cold in it and it appears much warmer than the 20 degree bags his brother and I have.

The only drawback is that with the durability comes decreased compressibility compared to some other synthetic bags. However, it still stuffs down to a reasonable size that would fit nearly any backpack.

If you're looking for a bag that compresses to the size of a Nalgene bottle, look elsewhere. Otherwise, this bag is a great deal.

Negative Reviews:

Too tight if you're a size XL

To start off, I am a women's size XL, so I know that's far larger than the typical backpacking female. However, I expected to be able to at least zip up the bag. There was plenty of room in the legs, hips, and lower torso, but the zipper wouldn't comfortably go higher than that with my arms inside. I tried, but it was literally cutting off my circulation and it was hard to breathe. I can't speak much to the warmth because I had to keep it mostly unzipped all night. It only got down to about 50, and my lower half was warm. Also, the zipper didn't run the smoothest. I'm 5'8", which is the maximum height recommended. It was still too short. With my head squeezed inside the hood area, my feet were pressed up against the bottom, which I suppose negates the purpose of the trapezoidal foot box. In retrospect I would buy the men's but I've blown my budget on this one.

Neutral Reviews:

Not Enough Bust!

I thought this bag was a great deal for a lightweight and compact backpacking bag. It fit nicely in my pack and hardly weighs anything, which is a plus for me! The only issue I had was that the bag was too small. I'm a rather "busty" gal and this bag didn't fit my curves for being a "women's" bag. It was supposed to be shaped to a woman's body, but apparently only for those who are stick figured. Other than that, it kept me overly-warm on a summer hike.
