On the road again

This repair and replacement kit was easy to assemble. Our tent is about 10 years old and has seen many a camping trip, when on our last trip one of the main support poles broke. These replacement poles arrived quickly and worked perfectly for the main supports of the tent. We will be ordering kits for the other sized poles in the near future to have on reserve. Thanks for having a part that works on multiple types of tents! (The 1/2 X 30 poles will work for the main support poles on a Greatland Outdoors 2-room lodge tent, which went out of production in 2005.)

Prolongs the life of perfectly good tent

One of my tent poles splintered last trip--what a PITA to cope with! As I replaced it, and the shock cord (10 y.o. tent!), I realized the ferrules for two other poles were slightly bent, and replaced those sections also. Nice to have a virtually new tent for very few bucks. The threader works well, and the amount of shock cord is completely sufficient.

I bought a smaller-diameter set, earlier, to fix the rain fly for this same tent. I just tape off the place where I need to cut, mark it clearly, and cut it with my hacksaw. Easy peasy. LOVE these sets!

Very Good...But..

For a Eureka Sunrise 11 tent -

The item only includes 4 fiberglass pole lengths and shock cord length to match. The actual tent comes with two poles, made up of 9 shock corded, firberglass pole lengths, each (with metal ferules). The item doesn't have enough length to string through 9 lengths of pole. I had to tie a piece. But it worked and I fixed it. The labeling/directions should explain it's a repair kit (for a single pole) - not a new replacement pole.

Replacement for Napier SUVtent 81000 !

Finally - some segments in one of the poles of my Napier SUV tent (81000) split and broke after a couple of very gusty windgusts.

Took longer to fish out the cord of the poles, than it took to saw the segments to the proper length.

The metal ends are a tiny bit shorter than the ones that came with the original poles, but that will not be an issue.

Happy Camper again :-)

Sunrise 11 X 11 2011

Eureka used to sell the poles already assembled as replacements. It's a shame that the customer has to put the poles together after they've already been hassled by tent poles that broke. Now the additional pain of having to construct your own poles! Afterall, when the tent was purchaed, the poles were assembled: Why can't the poles just be sold separately (preassembled)?
In addition, the metal portion does not seem to be of very high quality.

Cheaper than buying a new tent

I had one original pole section break, but other sections were showing signs of future failure, so I used all of the replacement pole sections. These have heavier walls on both the fiberglass and the metal ferrule than the original poles and will allow several more years of tent use.

This was exactly what I needed!

I have always invested in good gear and always get excellent life out of my gear. This repair kit was perfect for repairing a broken tent pole that resulted from an accidental fall into my tent (use your own imagination). It was easy to use and had good instructions.

Just the ticket!

We lost a pole from our Eureka tent and this replacement kit fixed the problem. It also includes the shock cord which is the necessary item to make sure you don't lose any more poles.

It was exactly what we needed.

This kit had everything we needed to make our old tent readily usable. Thanks for including the wire to lead the cord through the poles!

Great purchase

The replacement poles were a perfect fit. They were also easy to replace. Will be getting another set as spares to have on hand.
