I have a Eureka backpacker-style sleeping bag that packs down to a ridiculously small size. This carrier is nice when you're car camping and don't need to wrestle the bag into a grapefruit-sized stuff sack. You just loosely roll the bag, no folding or compressing required. Also, since its not compressed, when you're setting up for the night the bag is ready to go and you don't have to wait for it to decompress. The bag is roomy enough to store all your bedding together, including an insulating liner in case the temp drops and a compressible pillow. There's still room left so I might get some compression straps to tighten things up a bit.
Standard sleeping bag came with stuff sack. Not interested in fighting with bag to get it back inside. This bag has a zipper that goes around one end so there's lots of easy access. Bag can be rolled and packed or stuffed into duffel.
