Excellent for the Money!

Excellent! This is the first tent that I have bought for myself. My family uses nothing but Eureka! I used this on a canoe trip through Mammoth Cave National Park in Kentucky. The only thing I would change is make the windows just a tad bit bigger so you can see out of the window to look at the scenery when you sit up after a good nights rest. I love how the storage bag is big enough not just for the tent poles, stakes, but also two tarps as well to be used as ground cloths. On the trip it stormed and did not have any trouble staying dry. I recommend this for anyone! Setup is fast and easy. As always be sure to set the tent up when you get it and before your trip to make sure you know how to put it together and have all the equipment to go with it.

Thundetstorm buddy

I love everything about this tent. Set-up was super easy once I figured out the rain fly (yellow to yellow). No bugs, no rain. Thunderstorm in high winds & hail stayed dry and happy. Make sure you close windows in high wind rain. The mesh walls on the side are awesome for warmer weather camping. Plenty of airflow. I just wish they were a bit higher. If a puddle develops outside and rain splashes hard enough it could get in. I camp in Pacific NW and it savedy gear & bedroll from getting soaked. You can't stand up in it. But, I'm willing to sacrifice that for ease of set-up & stability. The fabric used is excellent quality. I used to be a Coleman tent guy. Not anymore!

Easy reliability

I used this tent for the first time last week, camping in the Adirondacks. We arrived late at the campsite and we easily set this up in the dark, after having practiced once at home. It is easy to set up and pack up. The rain fly suspended over the dome allows for excellent ventilation through the mesh sides and top. Really happy with this purchase this far! It hasn't had to endure heavy rain yet, but having read other reviews before making this purchase, I feel confident this tent will be resilient.

Great affordable tent

This tent will keep you dry on rainy day. A bit too breezy on cool mornings due to a large amount of mesh and the tent seems to be a bit heavy. The mesh has an advantage of breathing on hot humid days though so I'm not sure It's a total con. It's wieghts seems to contribute to some ruggedness in construction. At less than 100 this tent was a bargain. Excellent for short backpacking trips or car camping.

Just what I wanted

I wanted a large tent for motorcycle cammping. One large enough to hold gear and tall enough to allow sitting in a chair inside when undressing, removing boots, etc. Also wanted one that packed no more than 25" long and a good rain fly that almost reached the ground, I used it once so far, stayed dry during two days of rain. I'm happy with my first Eureka.

kWe like 'em!

We are very happy with our six (6) new tents; they are for the use of Boy Scout Troop 233, and our first use will be in March at the Grand Canyon. The boys are very happy with the ease of putting up and taking down.

Happy Camper!

I bought this tent on sale with free shipping and thought it to be a great deal. Has not leaked during 4 rainy week-ends and I did not add any seam sealer or tape. Just put it up right out of the box and I've stayed dry.

Also packs reasonbly short (25" long)

Great tent for looking at the stars

This product is perfect for a low key comping trip. I would not use this tent for an actual hiking experience or to live in (over a summer for example). It is very basic in the best way which means it is good for trips, vacations up to at most 2 weeks.

Solid value for Car Camping

I will use this tent when car camping with family or when I camp to participate in Mt. bike races. Used it in the back yard with my 5 year old nephew for 3 nights. Seemd well venitlated and we coud watch fire works without mosquitoes.

Rain splashes in during heavy t-storm

We bought this tent for family car camping to replace a similar, older Eureka model that we loved.

The description really doesn't make it clear that the sides are vents all the way down to the bathtub floor. That's nice in hot weather for airflow, but the tent can be drafty and cold. In addition, the first night we had it up we experienced a VERY windy and rainy thunderstorm, and water splashed up under the fly and into the tent. We may have had the fly staked too far from the sidewall, but there is no guidance on where it should go.

We aren't giving up on this one yet, but wish we had sprung for the more expensive model that has closures on the side vents.
