Reviews on other sites frequently mention the leather rope breaking near the handles. I've only had this jumprope for two months and already there is deep scoring on the rope close to the handles. It hasn't broken yet, but it looks ready to... and the wood handles are solid, which look nice, but that means it's going to be difficult to repair.
The other issue is that the leather rope itself is *very* lightweight, which means to keep the rope going you have to be quite fast. I wasn't prepared for this, I'm still a relative beginner.
