The Ex Officio Alpental Hoody: plush, warm fabric, scrumptious colors, and a fit that flatters your shape…you’ll wonder how you made it this far without this fleece. The Alpental wicks moisture and dries quickly, and its brushed mesh yoke lining breathes while you ski, snowshoe, or sell squash at the farmers’ market. Ex Officio added a zippered stash pocket for your Euro Pass or the keys to your soobie.

Great Jacket | |

This is such a nice hooded jacket! The fabric is like a dense knitted sweater on the outside and the inside is just like regular fleece. The cut is feminine, and on me it's a close, but not too tight fit. I'm 5'7", 135 lbs, and I ordered the size small. My hips are 38" and I worried that the small might be too small, but with a 34" bust, I didn't want the size larger. When it arrived, it fit perfectly. Plenty of room in the hips, yet the bust fits nicely. I love it. While I can't yet say how the fabric wears, so far this jacket is perfect. It's cute, sporty, and dressy all at the same time.

I just got this jacket today and already I really like it. The color is great (truffle). It fits really well. I got the large size though I think I could have gone smaller (I'm 5'4" about 160lbs). However, the two front pockets seems to be a little small and the zipper on the arm pocket doesn't zip down a smoothly as I would like. Overall, this jacket seems more like a heavy hoodie and not a jacket. It also said fleece but the texture is nothing like it. It gets 4 stars because I know I will use this jacket regularly for running errands.

The two front pockets are a little small. I feel that my cellphone or money/change will fall out of it. In addition, the arm's pocket zipper doesn't zip down smoothly. I'm giving it a 4 star because I will be using this jacket for running errands or walking outside.

Great Fleece... | |

I was skeptical at first, only knowing Ex Officio for men's shirts, but my wife freaking loves this fleece. The dual materials (fleece lining and then exterior) work really well for warmth. The fit is also really flatering for women, it looks casual but has the materials and construction to do anything...A+

Like some of the other reviews said, this is more of a hoodie than a fleece, but it's great. It's a little nicer than your typical fleece, with all the comfort you would expect from a fleece. It's thick and warm and fits very well.

Got this jacket for my daughter (15). I want one! It's cute, comfy, fits well, what more can I say. If I didn't have so many other jackets I would have bought one for myself. Hint, follow the size chart, it's spot on!

Warm and comfy, but not durable

I thought this was a really nice jacket at first. It is very warm, soft and fleecy on the inside but with a smooth outer surface that looks dressier than your average fleece. Could stand in for a cardigan with nice pants, for example. The problem is that the nice outer surface is pretty fragile. The jacket is beginning to pill all over after just a couple of weeks, and the surface does not hold up well to even slight abrasion. I carried a shoulder tote one day that must have had a rough seam or something, because now there is a big roughed up patch on the back of the jacket that is very visible. I've carried this tote before and it did not damage any of my other jackets. This jacket will not hold up well to rough use, or at least will not look nice afterwards, which was its appeal for me.
