Surprisingly comfortable

I'm determined to travel with only one bag on my next trip to Europe and so instead of packing several weeks' worth of underwear and shirts, I wanted to be able to take only a few pair that I could wash in my hotel room at night. This meant they had to be quick-drying. I ordered this Tee-shirt to see if I'd like it, because I was suspicious that synthetics would be anything except hot and uncomfortable. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was breathable and felt little different from the cotton Tees I usually wear under my shirts. It also did dry overnight. I soaked it one evening, wrung it out as much as possible, then wrapped it in a viscose towel and wrung it again before hanging it up--it was perfectly dry by morning. I've since ordered more. Thank heaven synthetics have come a long way since those horrible double-knit polyesters of the 1970s! This is a pricey item but it should last for years as I intend to use it mainly for travelling. It is also thinner and lighter than cotton so should take up less room in a suitcase.

Already own 3 and about to own 3 more now that the price is much cheaper than in 2010. I needed a V neck shirt for under a uniform and this was it. Simply put they are great at wicking moisture from under a bullet proof vest when the temperatures rise or you are stomping through the woods for other reasons. Usually get multi day wears from one shirt before its time for a wash.
They also work for everything else as it says: hiking, biking, paddling, running, walking the dog, or sitting around in the back yard. It dries out very quickly when needed.
I typically wear a M shirt but got S since I knew they were going to be under shirts. I'd say fit is true when it says slim. Only got them in Charcoal since I thought White could possibly stain and Black might be too warm.
Only con was the sleeves seemed a bit long for under the uniform and had to be removed.
DEAR EXOFFICIO, make this shirt without sleeves, otherwise, keep it up.

So what if you're not a v-neck guy?

I have a few of these shirts and I use them everyday. They work great as an undershirt in the fierce summer, but also work great for hiking and climbing. It's breathable, comfortable, and I've never gotten clammy in this shirt like I do with most synthetic (ie polyester) shirts. Nylon is the way to go.

Now, some of you may be asking yourselves "You know what? I'm not really into that V-Neck thing." To which I would say to "Me neither." But the fact is, it's pretty stylin' and your lady will most likely dig it. So although I'm not into the V thing, it's definitely growing on me.

Downside? Although being the best shirt I've ever owned, it still doesn't do your laundry :(

Used three of these on an overseas trip -- washed in sink and dried overnight a few times and also sent out to laundry a couple times (to test if they'd be destroyed!). Had tried ex officio gear a decade ago and it was miserable to wear - hot, smelly, itchy...this time, the shirts (and boxers) were great. Comfortable to wear - almost as comfortable as cotton -- but better as the day wore on and the flights got longer. No odor problems either and simple to wash and dry in the sink. Am now a fan and won't take anything on a trip but these.

I took a pair of these ExOfficio Give-N-Go shirts backpacking for three weeks across China, Thailand and Cambodia in the summertime. They are perfect for travelling light. They barely weigh anything, can be rolled up tightly. Easy to wash by hand and they dry quickly. I am 5'10, 160 lbs, and wear a 40R jacket, and the mediums fit perfectly. In the hot and humid weather, these keep you cool and dry. I only took two with me and washed them at night before I went to sleep and put the same shirt on the next day.
As usual, Ex-Officio products continue to deliver.

Finally a V-Neck T-shirt for travel

I have been looking for a V-Neck travel t-shirt to go along with my travel underwear for long trips where washing machines are not readily available. This shirt has met my demands and I am quite happy. The only negative was related to my own washing error when I actually found an available washing machine and ran my new shirt with jeans (yes, some color came off the jeans so my nice white t-shirt is now a light gray).
The shirt is very comfortable, wicks moisture quickly, and washes/dries overnight without any problems... just what a traveler would desire.

This shirt is just as nice as shirts that cost much more. It is very light and you can hardly feel it on your body when wearing it. It is made of the same synthetic as exofficio's underwear which are very nice as well. I would say that the fit is not slim. I sized up since the description said it was slim, i will be returning it for a smaller size. Keep in mind that this is no whimpy v-neck, this is a deep v-neck and shows a bit of chest.

Great find!

I was looking for a shirt to wear to our community swimming pool that was acceptable per the comminuty rules, but was also light and versitle. This is made from the same material used in production of my swim suit so it was a perfect compliment. I was hoping for a looser fit though, but it is sufficient. The primary use is to prevent sunburns.

Very comfortable

Bought 3 of these for a 2 week trip to Iceland, along with 3 boxers made by the same company. Chose these in an effort to pack light. I was easily able to wear them all at least twice before washing them was required. Great product. I'll buy more for everyday wear because they are so much better than cotton.

V neck Tee Shirt

Fit and feel are very good. Seems to be the right weight for a late summer trip to SE Alaska. Can't speak to durability and drying at this time. However, I already have the shorts and wore two pair for eight days on the Colorado River. They dry quickly and don't feel wet after dunking in white water.

Negative Reviews:

Not very durable.

Was frayed in the back, after lying down on the grass after one use. Looking to send it back.
Nla at Campmor on 05/05/2012

Neutral Reviews:

Feels great, cool, wicking, dries quickly, doesn't hold odors, etc. The weave is what I'll call a "box style" that catches on things and the threads will pull. I put one through the wash and when I took it out, it had a number of pulls from zippers or something on the other garments. It's still a great base-layer, but now I won't wear it by itself.

Sleeves are longer than most tshirts

I took 2 of these shirts to wear for 2 weeks in Nepal. I was able to wash them in the hotel and dry them in two hours or less. However, the sleeves are longer than my standard tshirts, and I will have to get the sleeves shortened.

Sleeves show if worn as undershirt

Bought to use as fast drying undershirt when traveling. It does dry quickly.
