Excalibur Matrix 355 Lsp Crossbow Package With Tact-Zone Scope Reviews:

Love it!

I never owned a crossbow in my life. Within a few shots at the range (<10), I was consistently hitting bull's eyes from 20 to 50 yards. I shot a doe with this crossbow the second day that I took it out hunting; there is no denying the power of this weapon. I added the rubber sound suppressors and the cheek piece to this crossbow, while nice upgrades, these are not necessary. The bolts are so fast on this thing, why even worry about the sound? This crossbow has an absolutely great feel for me, I preferred the feel of the thumbhole stocks and like the reassurance of the finger guard grip on the forearm. I love the fact that this is a recurve style crossbow, it adds a reassuring reliability factor to this weapon while taking it into the field that many other manufacturers do not offer. Everything is thought out very well in this design. The only slight flaw that this crossbow has in my opinion is inferior glass in the scope, but, as far as accuracy, this scope has been spot on for me. I love this crossbow and plan on using it for many more hunting trips and years to come!

Awsome crossbow

Crossbow is very accurate and easy to assemble. I recommend the string silencers. The cross bow at 60 yards shot a half inch group and probably would have done better if I shot better. you can adjust the string by twisting it to sit off the string silencers and this seems to increase velocity. Mine shoots at 339 fps everytime with 125 grain tips and the arrows it came with. 150 grain tips takes it down to 334. The holdover scope works flawlessly with it at every range from 10 to 60. Cabelas 125 crossbow broadheads work just the same as field point out to 50 yards then for some reason drop a little more at 60 about 5 inches so be weary of that. 60 is out of range as far as im concerned anyway for game. this crossbow is super durable and simple to use. you can easily take the bow part off and transport it in a compact case. I use the plano 1110 case. If you get it I hope you enjoy I Love mine.

excal matrix 355

If you prefer simple like I do, than the Excalibur crossbow is for you. Recently purchased the Matrix 355, and I couldn't be happier. Plenty of speed and power. Not exactly quiet, but noise isn't a problem. Have already shot 2 deer with the bow this season so far. At 240 lb. draw weight, it's more than manageable with the rope cocker. The bow is also very lightweight and easy to carry afield. Very good scope, but tends to blur unless perfectly centered behind it. I may be adding the optional cheekpiece at some point to aid in centering.

Great bow but!

It's so darn loud the addition of the suppressors are a must. Didn't have a problem cocking the Matrix 355 given the draw weight, but you might want to test one for yourself.
