Appears well made

Two new Exotac match cases passed the first level of testing, which was keeping the inside completely dry for 20 minutes under water. Two other match safes tested this week failed that test. The side striking surface was also dry, and ignited Coghlan's green tip waterproof safety matches immediately, as well as as the red compound wind & waterproof safety matches, also made in Australia, and previously available in the U.S. under the Coghlan's brand. While both of those match types will ignite after being soaked, the Exotac match case is an extra level of protection, and I am ordering a couple more. The Exotac case is easier to unscrew with cold fingers than the Marble's design match safe. Two other tested brands of "stormproof" matches failed to ignite after being wet, so a completely waterproof case like the Exotac is essential for them.

Quality Made in the USA!

I own several of these Match Boxes. They are the best quality I've found. You can order replacement strikers for the "Strike on Box" type matches. Capacity is small but for Weekend trips, Everyday use + Emergency GO Bag they are great. Well made, reliable protection for your matches and supporting a USA company with great designs gives me pride in purchasing and using this product. I would recommend to a friend with no hesitation.

Excellent & durable match safe

A very nice match safe to keep with your camping gear or emergency kit. I usually try to carry 3 sources of fire in the backcountry, & this really does the trick for matches.

Airtight/light - Match strips-meh

This actually is a great waterproof match case and tinder protector than anything else. I guess that's what its marketed as, and it works great in that respect. I have just found that the strips they provide to light matches do not really work too great in cooler/damp conditions, even considering the surface is protected until opened for use (No idea why.)

I also use lots of the Strike anywhere types of matches and found the surface on this doesn't really have enough strike area to allow for a consistent lighting of the match stick.

I haven't used in dry conditions yet, so it probably works great there. But I pack this with me as emergency fire starting material protection in case my lighter fails. Its very light and strong.
