Exped DownMat 7 Pump DLX Sleeping Pad Reviews:

Warm and comfy

We had two of these out on a recent winter camping trip, with nighttime temperatures around zero (F). I found mine very comfortable and warm enough for the conditions. The pump design is clever and easy to use, although pumping does get slower in the cold, when both the mat and the self-inflating foam that drives the pump get stiffer. It takes me a little over two minutes to inflate one at home, but closer to five minutes when the temp is below 10.

I haven't used it long enough to comment on its durability, although it seems quite tough. It's not light, but I don't know of any pad this warm that is. My only complaint, and it's a minor one, is that the stuff sack is a little tight. That's not a problem when packing up to go on a trip, but in the field with gloves and cold fingers, it can be quite hard to get into the sack (not that you really need to).

Very comfortable pad!

Very comfortable, fairly lightweight pad. Seems well constructed - have owned less than a year. Quite pad that inflates and stows away easy. I weigh 190lbs and am 6'1" & I fit on this pad just fine and slept very good on a rocky base. Mostly used in warm weather so far. I believe it will be well suited for cold weather though. Great pad for all but the extreme minimalist!

Slow but steady

Just used this pad up at crater lake the last weekend. It doesn't seem like the pump( or you ) is working at first but have patience, it just takes a minute to inflate.

The mat folds down very small, it is very easy to pack and lightweight. It is very comfortable when inflated which takes only a few pumps with the inclosed pump.

While not really "difficult" to inflate, it does take practice and time. Other than that, it is great! Really love the extra width in the DLX--worth the extra $!
