When you're looking for a spacious home away from home, the Andromeda II Tent from Exped stands out, as well as keeping you totally protected from the elements and supplying you with a vestibule big enough for even a bike. Keep your sleeping quarters separate from your gear locker, and keep everything organized and accessible within the roomy interior and huge vestibule, and if you want to go solo and light in favorable conditions, the vestibule can be used alone.

Strong and spacious, the Exped Andromeda II 2 Person Tent features Flat Sleeve Technology making it aerodynamic, supertight, and just about storm proof. A huge vestibule, large enough to hide a bike can comfortably sit 2 people and can be used alone when traveling light in favorable weather conditions. Ventilating windows keep the bugs out and minimize condensation, plus they let you enjoy the view. Durable, rugged and up for any adventure, the Andromeda II will protect you from the storm and let you sleep soundly, no matter the weather.

The Andromeda II from Exped is spacious 4 season tent for 2, ideal for mountaineering, paddling and ski touring.
Exped gave the Andromeda II Tent an absolutely massive vestibule with separate door to provide serious base camp versatility. Get in the vestibule with a shovel, dig a hole for your food, another for boot shells, and then make a platform for the stove. You’ll appreciate it when you’re waiting out a week-long Alaskan storm. Exped’s modified single-wall design shaves weight to under the seven-pound mark, so this tent definitely makes the cut when you’re loading gear on the ski plane.

Very roomy and functional but a bit difficult to setup
| Rating: | ![]() |
| Overall This tent is very good and I will trust it for stormy and snowy weather, as well for warm weather. It is roomy but requires you to use guywires to setup (rocky areas are a no-go). I primarily use it for winter camping and will use it for spring/fall weather, as well. Recommendation: I would recommend this to a friend and would almost certainly buy it again. Pros: materials seem very sturdy, guywires allow for strong setup, venting is great, space in the tent is roomy for 2 but not too big, covered entry way for storing gear without dirtying tent is fantastic, small prop windows allow for venting and seeing outside without letting in rain, attached tent to the tarp is great for fast setup. Cons: on rocky areas I had a hard time even setting up the tent since it needs guywires to hold it up vs being a freestanding tent, there are many straps that made it difficult to setup in cold and dark but this was the very first time for me so maybe not a valid complaint, door side tarp does not touch the ground and was about 4 inches from the ground (permitting snow or rain) but this may be from a poor setup on my part | |

This is a beautiful tent. For snow camping or paddling I have never seen or used a better vestibule!
