The Pillow Pump from Exped is an excellent ergonomic pillow that doubles as a pump. This small, convenient pump can be operated by hand in confined spaces, making it easier to inflate your mat inside a cramped tent. It is comparable in weight to standard pump sacks, making it a suitable replacement for original equipment. A soft foam filling allows the pump to function as a pillow at night.

This light, compact Exped Pillow Pump helps you inflate your mat quickly. When you’re all set for the night fill the pump with air and use it as a contoured pillow. The pump works with the flat valve technology of Exped sleep mats and with most other traditional mat valves.
Inflate your sleeping pad and have a comfortable place to rest your head thanks to the Exped Pillow Pump. This lightweight pump quickly inflates your Exped mat (sold separately), and then fills with air for a comfy night’s rest. The pump is compatible with all Exped flat-valve pads and most other traditional-valve sleeping pads, and Exped also included a stuff sack and field repair kit.
Inflate your sleeping pad with the Outdoor Research Pillow Pump, and then use the foam-filled pump as a pillow to get a good night's sleep. This pump works with all Outdoor Research pads as well as other inflatable mattresses. Its shape allows the it to be used as a contour pillow when you get ready to turn in. Have a nice night.

Great invention | |

| Descent pump and great pillow. Only disadvantage is that pump can't be used to deflate like some pumps can, but that is not much of an issue with me. Mine weighed 155 grams with the sack repair kit. | |

My lungs work better | |

This product is fair at best. The pump action sucks (my lungs are far more effective and quicker) and the pillow is rather uncomfortable as well. This is a purchase I wish I could take back.

mediocre at both | |

I went ahead and purchased this to go along with the exped 7 comfort foam mat. It works just ok as both a pillow and a pump. The pump action works, but takes forever. It takes some practice and a lot of work to get the pumping motion down. The outlet hole works well at only letting air out, but you have to cover the intake hole when compressing the pump, or some air escapes there as well.

Too much work | |

| If you need it for an alpine situation where you don't want moisture to freeze in the pad, then go for it. Otherwise, it's just too much work. You put it on your pad, open the little flap, let the foam inflate it, close the flap, and squeeze it, and you get a pathetic little puff of air before you have to open it up and let it inflate again. I tried it on a Big Agnes Iron Mountain, which normally takes about 2 minutes of breathing, and it took more than three times as long. Ridiculous. I'm sure it's great for winter camping (or asthmatics maybe), but for normal use, don't do it. | |
