First Cap n Ball Revolver

Picked this up with all sorts of sales and am blown away by the quality of the gun. First the bad: The wood grips didn't fit the gun just right but a little sanding and finishing and they were good. Now for the good: I have 20 odd years of shooting under my belt and nothing feels quite as good as this 1851 Colt by Pietta. The heft of the gun leaves me feeling as though there is little to no recoil with the added bonus of assisting me with attaining a solid sight picture quicker. If you are looking to get into black powder shooting for whatever reason I heartily recommend this as a cost effective entry into the sport/hobby. Be forewarned that it may be addicting. Looking forward to getting my next ones... an 1860 and an 1858 New Army are looking tempting.

black powder pistol purchase

we are very happy with the service level both phone interactions and internet ease of order. The merchandise is top drawer and the whole family enjoys using this tool. We are looking forward to future orders with Cabelas and staff. Don, the old prospector 59. 1859 was the Pikes Peak or Bust Colorado Rocky Mountain Gold Rush.
