Fenix PD35 Flashlight -

Fenix proves that it doesn't take a big light to make big light. The PD35 Flashlight throws a huge 850 lumen beam, even though it's only 5.5 inches long and weighs three ounces. That's at its maximum setting (called 'Turbo'). there are four other settings, and they drop in light output as they increase in battery life. The lowest setting produces 10 lumens and shines for a whopping 140 hours.

Traction and Grip:

  • Rugged aircraft-grade aluminum body is designed to resist rolling and has a knurled finish for a solid grip

  • PD35 remembers the last output level, so the next time you turn it on it starts where you left off
  • Batteries provide 140 hrs. of runtime on low, 29 hrs. on medium-low, 7 hrs. 45 min. on medium, 2 hrs. 30 min. on high and 1 hr. 15 min. on turbo
  • Regulated output maintains consistent light output over the lifetime of the batteries
  • Powered by one rechargeable 18650 (sold separately) or two CR123A batteries (included)
  • Bright strobe mode comes in handy when you're trying to signal someone or get help; strobe mode outputs 850 lumens
  • Fenix PD35 flashlight has an IPX8 water resistance rating for protection against prolonged immersion in 2m of water
  • Reverse polarity protection
  • High-quality Cree XM-L2 (U2) LED outputs 850 lumens on turbo, 450 lumens on high, 170 lumens on medium, 45 lumens on medium-low and 10 lumens on low
  • Low-voltage warning
  • Press the tail cap switch lightly for momentary on or all the way to turn the light on completely; with the flashlight on, press the switch on the side to adjust the output
  • Features 5 brightness levels, including a turbo mode that outputs a stunning 850-lumen beam that shines 185m (606 ft.) to illuminate the darkest forests and trails
  • Overheat protection

Weighing only 3.7 oz., measuring only 5.5 in. long and boasting a stunning 850-lumen output, the Fenix PD35 flashlight proves that compact size and mighty output are not mutually exclusive.

Fenix PD35 Flashlight Reviews:

Positive Reviews:

I bought the PD32 right before Fenix released the PD35 and since the PD35 has more than twice the Lumens as the PD32 I had to upgrade! I LOVE both my Fenix flashlights and am very happy with the quality and power that they have. This flashlight comes with 2 CR123A batteries, but you can buy some 18650 Rechargable batteries on Amazon or directly from Fenix's website. Don't buy the rechargeable CR123A batteries as Fenix has told me they aren't very good. This light does not come with rechargeable batteries like the Tech Specs said on August 13 2013. That was a mistake that will be fixed.
Overall I LOVE my PD35 for everyday carry and I ended up using it more than I thought I would! Fenix is a great company and I would highly recommend any of their flashlights to anybody! I would definitely buy this again if I needed too.

Excellent Light!

I bought this light to complement it with the Fenix TK-15. This light offers a flood-light wider area of beam compared to the TK-15's spot beam. Thus, the reach of this light is about 25-50 yards less than the TK-15, but reaches a wider area to about 180 yards (as advertised). This light would be of great use when we reach a campsite in the dark and need to scan the area for a good campsite. If your goal is not distance, but light coverage < 150 yards, this light will be your best tool. A great complement with the TK-15 - whose main purpose is for spotting objects up to 200 yards. Lightbulb runs warmer than the TK-15 but expected due to it's brightness. Not noticeably brighter than the TK-15.

wear your sunglasses!

This flashlight is brite. turbo mode only lasts 5 minutes then switches automatically to next lower setting. That setting, (high) lasts another 30 minutes before swithing automatically to mid power setting. at this point the flashlight is very hot. almost to hot to handle. would be great as a backup hand warmer or emergency sleeping bag heat source on cold nights. it has a nice brite flood pattern that makes it easy to see large areas. you will want a rechargable battery to go with this because you will use this light every day. it came with batteries(cr123), lanyard, replacement "o" ring and tailswitch cover, belt holster, pocket clip and a 30 month warranty.

Best and brightest

I received this flashlight as a gift from my son. He knows I like Fenix flashlights, and the more lumens the better. This flashlight is amazing. It is BRIGHT. It is also pretty compact and not very heavy. The light output can be adjusted which is good, because if you are looking for something that has fallen under the couch, for example, you don't need all 850 lumens. However, if you are out walking with friends in the dark, this baby will light the path for at least a group of 5.

Bright and relatively lightweight

Ever walk into a campsite too late? I bought this light for its durability, size, brightness and being relatively lightweight for backpacking and emergencies. It's great for exploring at night. It's still a little heavier than the light I used to pack, but worth it to me. Good selection of brightness levels, and it remembers the brightness setting next time you turn it on.

Lot of power in small package

Haven't had the opportunity to exercise the light much but did some testing with it at night. This is a very powerful light in a lightweight package. Since this is an emergency light for the house I decided not to use rechargeable batteries.

Negative Reviews:

Bright but not what I was looking for

It is small, reasonably light weight and bright. It will light up a huge area ... but that's the problem. I have a 250 lumen Olight that has a focused more narrow beam. This PD35 while 850 lumens acts more as a flood light with a very wide angle beam. So as far as what I prefer in a high lumen flashlight the 250 lumen Olight, because of the narrow focus ... gives the appearance of a brighter further reaching beam. I will be returning this product. Very dissappointing.
