Fenwick® Aetos

I got the 7' medium action rod as a birthday present from my wife. Great rod. long enough and stiff with great whip for launching the lures out along ways. sensitive enough to feel every little tap on bottom or brush against a weed and just the right amount of backbone to bring in those big pike and bass. Well worth the price. I love the fore end grip. If fits perfectly between your middle finger and thumb so your pointer finger can be in contact with the rod to feel those finicky bites.

Great rod...

Used it up in Maine and caught numerous Smallmouth bass up to 4lbs.....An added Bonus was a 38" Northern that this rod tamed with only 8lb Mono.....Liked it so much bought another when I got back......The specs were the 6'6" medium fast model....

Negative Reviews:

No durability at all

Caught 5 five with 5 outings within 3 weeks of owning it. Purchased the 6'3" M XF 1 pc and personally, after owning it for a few weeks, the tip is too soft for jigging with considering it was a Medium action. On the last outing, today, I snagged a rock and set the hook thinking it was a fish and dang rod just snapped into 3 pieces. Wow! Going back to Cabelas tomorrow for a refund/exchange for a St Croix. This is my first and last Fenwick ever... dad had a Eagle GT that did the same thing while fighting a fish last year and, it too, snapped in half. Only thing nice about this rod is the finish and color. Good luck if you get one.
