Great stand!

I do a lot of stand hunting but this one I got in 2008 to use as a wildlife viewing stand on my marsh. Yes, it would be great to use 2 people to set this up, but if you are by yourself and really want it up you can do it. It is very comfortable and still looks brand new except for the netting. It has held up great in the elements. I havent had to tighten any straps or nuts and it is extremely stable and no squeeks. I,'m going to get another one this year if I can catch it on sale. One thing to remember is that you can buy a lighter stand for twice the price, but why? Its not really meant to be a portable stand? Once you have it up, leave it up.

Do not buy Game winner from academy

Basically what happened is I bought the cheap two person game winner stand from academy and it buckled when i went to climb up it and broke in half and luckily did not hit the top of my head when it fell. The most amazing part is I weigh 170 pounds, so then i bought this treestand from dicks which has worked out much better. Once again do not buy the academy one unless u want a death trap.

Very Good

Picked up the upgraded version with the roof and sides at my local Dick's. My son and I was able to stand it up on a negative incline without a problem. It was a windy weekend and the stand didn't shake or move unless the tree itself moved (to be expected). I am 330 lb and it was plenty big for my 13 year old and myself.

LOVE IT

I have hunted out of this stand for two weeks now and love it. Price was cheap for what it is and its an excellent product the only complaint I have is that the pockets are a little too noisey to actually use them unless you leave the flap open than they are fine. Great stand for the money!

Excellent stand for us bigger guys

Great stand so far, and very sturdy. I definitely recommend putting it up with at least one other person. The instructions recommend 3 people, that would be ideal. I tried to do it myself and it was very very hard, but its up. I am 6' 280lbs and I am very comfortable sitting or standing up there.

Time will tell

Bought this stand on sale last year for under a $100. I will use this with my son for the 2010 Shotgun season in Upstate NY. On display it looked a good stand, time will tell if it preforms as good as it was priced.

Great Product

Very sturdy, perfect fit for my son and I, not too bad to put up but requires at least two people. Looking forward to some quality bonding with my 11 year old this year in this stand.

Good stand for the money

Got this at an end of the season sale. Used it the next season with the girlfriend (she is starting out in hunting). Held us without issue. Plan to use it this season to.

Negative Reviews:

Uncomfortable

Price is definately right, but the seat is too narrow and uncomfortable. The width of the stand is fine, but the depth is overall too small. Dick's used to carry a whole line of Big Game Stands and they are much more comfortable. The ladder for this stand is too small as well as the shooting rail is too low to be used as a good rest, although it is about right for my ten year old. You will be wise to spend the extra money on a stand that is little deeper and has a wider bench, after a few hours you will be happy you did.

fine unless you are tall

The stand itself is fine, lots of railings in the way if you are bowhunting, but the main problem is the seat height, my knees are up as high as my chin almost, this seat needs to be at least 3inches higher to sit comfortably for any time, the amount of foot room is lacking too, its ok for a few hours at a time but impossible to sit this stand for a whole day if you are 6 foot tall or over, I am 6'6" and find it very uncomrfotable

O.k. Stand

Purchased this stand in the store at Dick's. Price was good for a buddy stand. Installation was easy and quick. Put up easily with three people. It was very light but you need the third person to stand on the first rung when it goes up. It felt unstable to me after installation with the provided straps/strings. I added a block of wood below the tree cleat so it could not slip. Also added two ratchet straps from the tree to the outside of the platform on both sides. Solid as a rock now. I do not like the plastic washers that are provided. You can't tighten the bolts correctly or they just go right through the washer. That's what makes it unstable me thinks. Overall, it seems pretty comfortable and accepts a camo wrap easy enough with zip ties. I would buy it again.

Average quality and good price

These stands are decent quality. Frames and support members are average size/thickness. Seat and back pad are somewhat cheap - below average in materials of construction. Good price - I purchased two (2) on sale at Boxes were badly damaged in shipment, Fortunately, the contents were okay. It took me about two hours to assemble. It takes two people to install safely.
