Nice blind for the price
I bought this for the size and price after reading about some of the common problems associated with more expensive blinds. I'll start with what I like:
I like it much, much more than a dog house blind.
It's big. There is a lot of room to move, standing it relatively easy.
It's light. Fairly easy to move around once set up. I picked a spot, didn't like it, moved it 50 yds or so while set up. Not difficult at all.
Lot of shooting options. Windows are zippered, and the shoot through Velcro is fairly durable.
Comes with some 550-like cord to tether the blind to whatever. It comes with some stakes for the ground.
I really like the orange flags on top...I hunt shared property and it allows us to know whether or not someone is using it before you walk up to it.
Aside from a torrential rain, should keep you moderately dry once you seal the seams properly.
The bad:
The seams need to be sealed before use from the sewing process. I got a bottle of shoe goo and sealed all the seams to make it more durable and seal it up a bit more. Do this a couple of days before field use to let the smell dissipate.
The windows are loud. They are zippered. The Shoot-thru windows are held by fairly secure Velcro, but to peal them back or take them out in the field, it is loud, loud, loud.
The stakes are thin, cheap...not that impressive, but they held in place for the week I had it out.
I haven't shot an arrow through the shoot thru covers, so I can't speak to their performance or not.
Great blind
Bought this blind this year. Put it out in october, bow hunted and rifle hunted from it. Not perfect for bowhunting, but it's a blind and it's better than most. Possible to shoot out of. Great for rifle hunting. Hunted out of this for roughly 20 sits and had numerous deer directly downwind of me. I had it tucked into a fallen tree and camoflaged well, but had numerous deer within 10 steps of me and didn't even look my direction, including several nice bucks. Very happy with this blind and plan on buying another. Forgot the travel bag and directions, but had it down and folded up within a minute. Setup and takedown a breeze. Only problem I had was seeing light through the seams like someone else mentioned.
Nice Blind
I recently purchased this blind from DSG and although I haven't been able to hunt from it yet I'm happy with it. Blind is large enough to draw my bow in, and it has many openings to shoot out of. The blind comes with a large carrying bag that is over sized and easy to place blind into (unlike some pop-up style tents that I have used). The blind is easy to set-up, I have yet to do it in the field, but probably could have it up and in place in two or three minutes.
Good blind so far
It set up in less than 30 seconds. Looks like it will be a good blind. The fabric feels tight when open, and you can see light through the stitching. Seams are not taped, hopefully, they won't pull out. Taped seams and stitching are the price difference between this and a Double Bull, that I see so far. It does have a one year warrenty so I am giving it a try.
I will buy another one like this
I bought this blind in october 2010 the first time
I was in it I took a very nice doe with bow. It got so close if the entrance had been unzipped I could have touched it. it never did smell me I took it at about 15 yards great for bow or gun.I
will buy another one easy to set up and take down
I would buy again.
I have used many blinds in the past so far this is the best one. My 11 year old son and I shot three deer out of this blind so far and only had it set up for a week. We use a crossbow and the only trouble with the blind I have is finding where to by replacement screens.
Great product
Didn't really know what to expect buying this online but wow, what a greg deal. Great size blind for at least 2 hunters, either bow or rifle. Lots of windows, easy assembly/disassembly. Bad with back straps is big and allows the blind to fit easily into it. Great all around product.
Great Deal...
I just bought this blind at Dick's for [$]! I can't wait to take it outside and bow hunt with it. It seems big enough to have two people sitting in it based on other reviews. Hopefully I can get a big late season Buck with it!!!
nice however....
this is a nice package for x-bow hunters but when i moved to shooting traditional archery gear it is too small to draw my biw. also you must sit down to get a proper angle with the bow. i would but the magnum blind for bow hunting!
GREAT BLIND
THIS BLIND IS GREAT! EASY SET UP AND TAKE DOWN. I USED IT FOR TURKEY HUNTING AND HARVESTED A NICE TOM AT 25YDS. HE HAD NO IDEA I WAS THERE. I AM GOING TO USE IT THIS FALL AND TRY TO HARVEST A BIRD WITH MY BOW.
