First Lite Kanab Pants Reviews:

Elk Hunting in Colorado

I wore these pants and matching shirt everyday for a week long September Elk hunt. They exceeded my expectations. Believe it not even though temps range from 80 to 30 degrees F. they provide the right level comfort. Key features:
- The ripcord wool dries fast, not like your traditional bulky wool sweaters.
- They are extremely tough - walking through tough country for 5 days straight - washed them and they still look new.
- medium weight and are designed with flexible sizing. I am 5'10" 190lb and the large fit great.
- Nice leg cuff ties - allows pants to accommodate various lengths.
- plenty of pockets
- great suspenders included with the pants. My buddy was wearing a name brand synthetic product and he froze when he got caught in the rain and couldn't dry out.
Wool rules the day.

Too noisy vs. 100% wool pants

Let me start by saying these pants are a great fit,, great look and great design. I had the highest expectations with all the great reviews for a lightweight wool pant. The only problem with them is that they are not stealthy enough for stalking whitetails. That's the reason for the 4 stars. The wool makes too much of a swishing sound when walking. Most people may not notice it, but there is no way you can use these on a calm morning trying to remain silent. I have to stick with my 100% Wool Cabelas Legacy Pants.

surprise performance

Excellent all conditions clothing. 10 days elk hunting in Wyoming in weather from 50 degrees and dry to 20" snow and 15 degrees. Breaks wind well and fits nicely with heavy or light base layer. Dries quickly and retains warmth when wet. Would be a 5 with buttons, snaps, Velcro or zippers on rear pocket and cargo pockets, too easy to lose items in pockets. Marino blend material is light and tough!

great all around pants

I have some sitkagear pants and I like these better.I have used them deer hunting and worn them under my waders while duck hunting..Deer hunting in the south can mean 40 degree temperature changes throughout the day and I can hunt all day without changing pants. They appear to be very well made and do not smell even after several days in the field.
