best fishing boat ever!

I am on my fourth season with my Fish Cat 9 and wouldn't go anywhere without it. It lives all summer strapped to the top of my truck roof, ready to go fishing.
I have been out on large lakes with white caps and down class three rapids confident in not only my ability to handle the conditions but of this craft being up for the challenge.
I have the optional wheel that makes it easy to get it from a camp site to the water and the wheel left down while out on the water acts as a keel allowing me to track better while rowing or propelling the boat with my fins. I notice less of an issue with the wind then friends without the attached wheel unit.
I also upgraded to 7’ oars that extra foot really adds to the handling and power. I had for a short period of time an electric motor but the added weight coupled with the difficulty of steering it made it more of a pain that just wasn’t worth the hassle

Fish Cat 9

These are great for small bodies of water & small rivers. Takes a little effort to control & operate while fishing as it's easily moved by a tugging fish and surprisingly the wind. You need one, your fishing partner will need one as well. Once I add a trolling motor, that will only add to the enjoyment.
