I like these shoes, but kind of wish I had gone with a different shoe. My husband has the men's version of this shoe and he loves it, so I thought I would try it. I had trouble finding the right fit (ended up with a 10.5 and I usually wear a 9 or 9.5). I'll start with the pros: the shoes are well constructed, and the soles are awesome. They grip really well. The cons - it just seems like the shoe doesn't quite fit my foot right. They feel a little narrow near the toe, but they do not provide enough support at the heel (I've adjusted the laces which has helped, but hasn't solved the problem). My foot feels a little unstable, especially when wearing a liner sock, but a liner sock is a must because I am still getting blisters even after hiking over 25 miles in these shoes. I think these are good shoes - maybe just not the right ones for me. I wouldn't discourage anyone from giving them a try - I would just say if you are having any doubt about the fit, just move on to a different shoe. Oh, and they are a little goofy looking, but hey - I'm not trying to win any pageants when I'm backpacking!

I've walked about 400 miles in my Five Ten Camp Fours since I bought them nearly five years ago. I hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon and back out carrying 30 lbs and my feet and ankles did great in these shoes. I love the roomy toe box and support for my high arches -- the arthritis in my instep (tarsometatarsal joint) is never bothered in these shoes like it is in most other hikers or cross-trainers. While there are still plenty of miles left in these shoes for gentle trails, it's time to retire them and pick up a brand new pair for the 2010 season. Aggressive sole + roomy toe box + stealth rubber + super durable leather + supportive insole. Unfortunately, they do wear out. Also, I wasn't thrilled with the laces these came with originally -- they were hard to tie in freezing conditions and they slipped a little too easily. I upgraded the laces after the first season. I suspect that most people won't notice this issue, and it's no reason to not try this shoe.

These are my new favorite hiking shoes!

I bought these shoes to wear on our trip to Yellowstone in October, 2010. I have been wearing them to break them in before the trip, but there is need to break them in - they are so comfortable. This is a very nice looking shoe and the comfort level is unbelievable. Make sure to order a 1/2 size larger than you normally wear.

I have had these shoes in the past and loved them. It seemed to run a 1/2 size smaller and the brown color on the back part of the shoe isn't very appealing. I will send back for a larger size since these were great hiking shoes when I had them before.

What can I say, these were just too stupid looking for me. Probably a great shoe on the trail!

Love these hikers. I ordered a size up, they seem to run small. Very well made.
