Five Ten Rogue Lace -

The Five Ten Rogue Lace Climbing Shoe won't break the bank, but that doesn't mean that Five Ten held back on technological advances. Built on the same last that Five Ten uses for its Stonelands shoe, the Rogue has a natural, relaxed foot position so you can learn the specifics of toeing into jibs without the discomfort of upper-end climbing footwear. The upper material is made with split grain leather to comfortably conform to your foot as you climb, and it has a uniform give and natural breathability for even more comfort. With its lace-up closure, you'll have customized tension around your foot so everything is nice and snug. The outsole is made out of Five Ten's classic Stealth C4 rubber that climbers have been using for years to set up the hardest routes out there.
The Rogue was designed for beginners who want to learn how to climb well in the gym and transfer that experience to climbing outside smoothly. It features Five Ten's Active Arch Technology to secure your foot in place so you don't feel it moving around while you learn proper feet placement. And its Comfort Range Slingshot cups your heel so you can develop technique and skills without sacrificing comfort.

  • Lace-up closure allows for customized tension and a snug, secure fit
  • Active Arch Support positions the shoe on your foot for a perfect, glove-like fit

Five Ten Rogue Lace Review:

Reviews:

Good performance, questionable quality

Used as gym shoes.

I got one full size down from my street shoe, they've stretched and conformed to my feet nicely. Comfortable enough, after break in, to leave on throughout sessions.

The tongue on the shoe is comfortable and doesn't get in the way of itself; however, the threads on the 5.10 logo, stitched at the top, started to come undone the second time I unlaced them. It's becoming a nuisance. The shoe says 5.10 in enough places, not sure why they had to stitch a logo right under the laces.

They edge well, are sensitive enough, and smear just fine. Good all around performance.

Sections of rubber are beginning to peel away from the upper, hopefully this doesn't develop further and become an issue. I've had them for less than a month.

If they hold themselves together I'd recommend them to a friend. We'll see how they hold up.
