Fox Titan Sport Jacket -

You’d be hard-pressed to find more protective under-jersey coverage than the Fox Titan Sport Jacket has. The Titan features high-impact-plastic shoulder and elbow coverage, along with an anatomic two-piece chest plate that will keep you from getting impaled like a shish-kabob when you nail a broken stump at 35mph. Removable, articulated back coverage lets you dictate the level of protection, and a center zipper lets you take the Titan off easily when you decide to grab a few pints on the way home. Overheating becomes a non-issue with the vented-mesh main body fabric, making the Fox jacket a winner in the world of summer riding function.

Being 6ft 2in 195lbs about a 46in chest, i was worried about sizing so I went with the XXL, and it fits fine on the arms and loose if I need it on the chest. Having the Back plate on makes it a bit warm on a nice warm sunny day, but take it off and its all good. I have yet to Biff it really good, but wacked a branch on the left Triceps protection, totally ripped my jersey, but arm was all good. Totally recommend, just get the next size up.

I rode in this suit last summer in Laguna Hills...the Telonics trail or PB or whatever it's called. It's super steep and was really dry/dusty when I rode it. Let's just say I didn't have one of my better runs...I crashed 4 times...hard. At the end my front wheel was bent and my seat was sideways, and not to mention I walked the last 100 yards out. And I almost didn't put this suit on for my run! My upper body would have been thrashed, but instead, I came away with no injuries.

Way better than my older 661 assault suit. It's pretty low profile, but still has some bulk to it. Def breathable and cool feeling on runs. The only weird issue was a crash I had where I guess I fell on my elbow, and ended up with a gash and bruising. The bruising is fine, but I don't know how the gash happened unless there was massive rub from something inside the elbow guard. Other than that it's good armour for the buck!

Hucked a drop off and blew it...flipped end over end and landed on the rocks...saved my entire upper right side from shoulder to wrist...I did rip the forearm pad halfway out (easy fix with velcro). As an older rider, this type of armor is great for not being off the bike due to injury from thinking that your 20! Highly recommend.

Neutral Reviews:

I decided to buy this particular body armor mostly because it was one of the cheaper ones with sleeves attached that looked nice as well. Now that I have it, I will not buy it again, unless Fox made some upgrades to it. Adding a thumb hole would be great. I have had the sleeves ride up my arms on multiple crashes. Overall, I this definitely does the job, but I suggest just save a few extra coins and get a different one. I cannot recommend any other since this is all I have used. As far as sizing, I am a tall, but skinny guy, so I decided to get the medium, only because I didnt want the large to be too big around the chest. It ended up being quite short on me, a friend ended up buying it and I then got the large, and it fits great. Definitely breathes well, and looks cool too.

...but not so much. The product seemed true to size. (they need to be somewhat snug to work correctly). Not too shabby on the comfort level, and in fact, made me feel very secure when I wore it.
My biggest beef was with the quality of craftsmanship. I lost a rivet after the first ride - sewing of pads to the netting then came undone in short order.
Long story short, I expected a better product from Fox. I returned it to HNR (without issue I might add...I love those guys) and quickly spent more $$ on a POC.(tey love me too...) I will write a review on the POC after some experience with it, but out of the box, the quality seems head and shoulders above the Titan. The old adage "You get what you pay for" seems to apply here.

Way too bulky for me! Will do the job with good protection though. I Opted for the AStars MTB Bionic Jacket for a few bucks more! The level of quality and precision fit are totally worth it! It looks way sick too!!
